TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 KYMCO AGILITY. AFTER PARKING THE SCOOTER, THE NEXT MORNING, THE CONTACT FOUND THAT IT HAD BURNED TO THE GROUND. A FIRE AND A POLICE REPORT WERE FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE SCOOTER WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,300. UPDATED 07/06/16.*JB

This bulletin provides instruction on how to replace rubber isolator components to maximize system safety and lifetime in 257- and 267- series side mount systems.

EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY

It may be necessary to replace worn rubber isolators in 237 series side mount systems. This communication provides how to modify the isolator, and remove and replace with new isolator material. In some cases, the isolator rib or ribs may split and move away from the main channel. This communication also provides how to remove and replace such portion with a section of isolator material.
