2016 Kzrv Durango Problems
Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component
Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2016 Kzrv Durango, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

AS I WAS STEPPING INTO THE RV, THE UPPER STEP SEPARATED ON ONE SIDE. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO GRAB ONTO THE RV OTHERWISE I WOULD'VE FALLEN. UPON INSPECTING THE STEPS I FOUND A RIVET THAT HAD BROKEN WHICH CONNECTS THE STEP TO A BRACKET. SEE PHOTOS. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THEY INFORMED ME MY RV WAS NOT WITHIN THE RECALL ISSUED BY KZRV. I ASKED THEM TO ORDER THE KIT REQUIRED AND IF THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE ANY GOODWILL TOWARD INSTALLING THE KIT, I WOULD DO IT MYSELF. THE RV HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS. THIS RV IS A 2015 DURANGO 2500 336R3T.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 KZRV DURANGO 2500 FIFTH WHEEL. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS WALKING UP THE STEPS INTO THE RV THE TOP RIVET FAILED AND THE STAIRS COLLAPSED. THE CONTACT FELL TO THE GROUND AND SUSTAINED BACK KNEE, AND HIP INJURIES. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT RECEIVED. THE RV WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 700. UPDATED 04/28/17*LJ
