TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 (NA) LIEBHERR LTM 122-5.2 ALL-TERRAIN MOBILE CRANE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CRANE WAS IN PREPARATION TO LEAVE A JOB SITE AND WAS REQUIRED TO MOVE WITH A CRANE BOOM DOLLY WHICH SUPPORTS THE REAR OF THE BOOM CRANE. A WORKER CONNECTED THE RED AIR BRAKE LINE HOWEVER THE AIR LINE WAS CHARGED WITH AIR IN SPITE OF THE PARKING BRAKE BEING IN THE PARK POSITION ON THE CRANE. THE AIR BRAKE ON THE TRAILER RELEASED CAUSING THE TRAILER TO ROLL AWAY. AS A RESULT, THE WORKER WAS CRUSHED AND SUSTAINED FATAL INJURIES. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM WAS INSPECTED BY WESTERN ANALYSIS ENGINEERING (1339 E 28TH ST, SIGNAL HILLS, CA) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE BRAKING SYSTEM FAILED TO MEET REGULATION STANDARD FMVSS, PART 121. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. ## VIN PASSED ## LIEBHERR LTM 122 5.2 ##
