Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
ENGINE
We are informing you that tool p/n 900100024 has been updated with an additional component designed to improve the oil seal installation process on V6 Nettuno engines. This added component helps ensure consistent, accurate positioning of the oil seal in its seat by compensating for dimensional gaps and seal tolerances. It also improves process reliability by helping maintain proper installation conditions, even when tool usage is not optimal.
MC20 Cielo Door Latch Module Software Update. Certain Maserati vehicles listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update to SW updates to the LSMD and LSMP modules.
SEATS
MC20 Seat Strap Button Repair Procedure. This bulletin provides guidance to the Service Network on the procedure required to restore the seat strap button on MC20; this procedure avoids replacement of the complete seat.
Some vehicles may exhibit a concern related to the Remote Start timer. In these cases, the Body Control Module (BCM) may not correctly align the expected timer behavior with the vehicle’s actual response time. This timing mismatch can interrupt the procedure and cause the remote start function to fail. A software update is required to correct the timer settings and ensure the Remote Start procedure completes successfully.
ENGINE
Maserati Coolant Fluid Color Change. The previous pink coolant and the new purple coolant are fully compatible and may be mixed without affecting coolant quality, performance, or system behavior.
Effective immediately! Rapid Update #819 – MC20 BCM SW Update has been temporarily suspended. This decision follows the identification of potential Drive Mode Selector (DSCM) malfunctions observed on some vehicles after the execution of the RU 819 software update, which is currently under in-depth technical investigation by HQ.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
Compare model years
Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
