good morning, i'm [XXX]. i have taken untold number of caps off of windshield washer fluid reservoirs so i could put in fluid. this is the first time i've ever had issues with the little flange on the underside of the cap breaking. this is the second time it has happened and this time i was extra extra gentle with removing it and attempting to put it back on since they cost over $20, which in itself is abhorrent price for such a cheap piece of junk, but one of the little cheap plastic flanges broke again. this is plain and simple highway robbery. this is a $50k suv and this is what we get? this is horrible and should not be allowed to stand. i know these companies MO is to cut their cost and make their parts as cheap as possible and sell it for more and more. please please please look into this and make mazda make a quality cap that customers can depend on instead of being outraged at. mazda is making millions off the people who trust them to make quality parts. i called a mechanic at our local mazda dealer when i was trying to put the cap back on cause i didn't want to force anything. he knew exactly what the problem was. he said these caps are pieces of junk and most people just go without it. this is unacceptable to me and i'm sure everyone who's had this unfortunate experience. we are supposed to go without a cap on a $50k vehicle???? Again please please please make mazda make a quality cap for their customers. thanks, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I took delivery of this car about a month ago from the dealership in Kansas. On my way home to Grand Rapids, Michigan I noticed that the driver side rear view mirror was vibrating severely to the point that the image in the rear-view mirror is blurred. This is during daytime driving, at nighttime this issue severely impacts safe driving as I am unable to locate the type of vehicle accurately. Mazda seems to be aware of this issue since 2023 and have been trying to address it through TSB's indicating the dealers to replace the mirror glass. I have taken my car to my local Mazda dealer in grand rapids Michigan, and they have performed the latest TSB on the car, but the mirror continues to vibrate although less than before but still presenting a safety risk while driving. Per the latest conversation with the dealership, Mazda is still continuing to fix a better fix for this issue and I am asked to keep checking each month.

The driver's side mirror vibrates excessively when traveling on the highway or at higher speeds (50+ mph). This has been present ever since taking delivery of the new vehicle on [XXX] and poses a safety risk as it compromises visibility to adjacent traffic. The problem was confirmed by the dealer on [XXX] and repaired according to manufacturer TSB 09-018/24. However, the problem continued to persist after the repair. The defect was reported again on [XXX] and the dealership claimed that they contacted the manufacturer where no additional fix was available. The defect was reported yet again for a third time on [XXX], at which time the dealer still claimed that there was no updated fix. The car’s driver side mirror shakes (glass in mirror) and causing distraction while driving, which seem to be the widespread case. Other 2 CX-90 driven in dealership had the similar issues. The shaking is more prominent at highway speed and while going over bumps.

Passenger side, side view mirror will intermittently turn all the way in and down. This makes it impossible to see traffic on your side. Once it turns in, it is stuck and you need to get out of the car to physical move it so the motor will adjust it again. This can happen at anytime and has happen at least 10 times since we've purchased the car on 12/29/2023

- Driver's side view mirror, vibrates constantly at speeds over 55 mph - When changing lanes, or looking at blind spots on the highway objects in driver's side mirror are blurry / blurred, due to the vibrations coming through the mirror. It causes focusing issues, ensuring objects and other cars are or aren't close by. I immediately look to passenger side mirro, which has no vibration or blurred vision at all, look to rear view mirror, which is also fine. - I had Mazda technicians confirm the problem, in fact it is a problem on many others, including the CX-90 loaner I had while the Mazda dealer had my car. - Apparently, it is a "Known" issue, but Mazda does not have a fix for it. - Very concerning, a brand new vehicle doesn't have vibration absorbing material built in to the mirror to stop this from happening - If you roll down the window, and put your finger on the mirror glass, you will get a clear picture of what is behind you / beside you.

The drivers-side mirror experiencing a vibration at speeds greater than 40 miles an hour distorting the view, making it blurry, particularly at night. This problem has been inspected by the dealer and they say that there is currently no fix from Mazda. This ONLY occurs on the drivers-side and apparently is widespread on the trim for this car that has the folding mirrors. T This is a safety issue and Mazda should be required to implement a fix.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
