2015 Mercedes Royale Sprinter Coach Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I was driving down the road and two of the four batteries under my airstream interstate fell out from under the van. It ripped off my bumper. I checked on a few airstream forums and this is common. It is very dangerous. Airstream needs to fox this issue. Someone behind me could have been injured if we were on a high way.

ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, ABS/ESP/ASR WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AND CRUISE CONTROL BECAME INOPERATIVE. SOMETIMES THE FAULTS WERE CLEARED BY TURNING ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTING. OTHER TIMES THE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR WAS REPLACED. A TOTAL OF 3 SENSORS WERE REPLACED OVER TIME. ONE TIME HAPPENED WHEN BRAKING, WHICH RESULTED IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. ONCE THE TRANSMISSION WAS LOCKED IN THE LOWEST GEAR AND WOULD NOT SHIFT. THE MOST RECENT TIME THE ENGINE STOPPED AT 45 MPH WHILE ON THE ROAD. THIS WAS RESOLVED BY REPLACEMENT OF THE ABS MODULE. ALTHOUGH NO DAMAGE OR INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED, AT LEAST 3 FAILURE RESULTED IN UNSAFE CONDITIONS AND COULD HAVE RESULTED IN DAMAGE/INJURIES HAD THE TRAFFIC CONDITIONS BEEN SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT. THESE FAILURES HAVE OCCURRED OVER A PERIOD OF 2 YEARS (2017- 2019). SPEEDS WERE 25-65 MPH
