THE SUSPENSION/STEERING FOUNDATION HAS A PROBLEM THAT THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT LOCATE. AN ALIGNMENT IS NEEDED EVERY 2/3 MONTHS(NOT ALWAYS RIDING ON ROUGH ROADS). STEERING FEELS OUT OF CONTROL, HAD 4 ALIGNMENTS DONE, 2 SETS OF 4 BRAND NEW TIRES PLACED ON THE CAR IN A 2YR. PERIOD- THE STEERING & SUSPENSION FEELS OUT OF CONTROL(ALMOST CAUSED TWO ACCIDENTS) AND THE DEALER CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG...ALSO NOISE COMING FROM FRONT PASSENGER SIDE THAT THEY CANNOT FIND EITHER...........I SEEN A LOT OF THE SAME COMPLAINTS SENT ALREADY!

THERE WAS RECALL O1V225001 A FEW MONTHS BACK REGARDING STEERING GEAR LOCKING UP. CONSUMER HAD PROBLEM RESOLVED. CURRENTLY, SAME PROBLEM WAS OCCURRING IN SAME VEHICLE. CONTACTED DEALER. *AKCONSUMER WAS INVOLOVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND CONSUMER CRASHED INTO A POLE. SINCE THEN CONSUMER WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE WHEEL LOCKED AGAIN CAUSING CONSUMER TO CRASH INTO A GAURD RAIL. *JG

WHILE DRIVING 45-50 MPH SMELLED SMOKE. CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKES, AND THEY FADED. TRANSMISSION SLIPPED. CONSUMER PULLED OVER, AND FRONT OF VEHICLE BURST INTO FLAMES. FIRE DEPARTMENT PUT OUT FIRE, VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DEALER. FACTORY REPRESENTATIVE DETERMINED MITSUBISHI WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE. THERE WAS RECALL000295001 ON POWER STEERING TUBE THAT COULD CAUSE A FIRE, BUT THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT AFFECTED. VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED, NO INJURIES. *AK
