TIE ROD BOOT SEALS ARE CRACKING AND DISINTEGRATING AND NOT HOLDING GREASE AND ARE UNSAFE AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. NEWMAR ISSUED A TSB ON 10-19-2006 FROM TRW TO THIS PROBLEM BUT APPARENTLY NOT ALL EFFECTED OWNERS WERE SENT THIS TBS. I NEVER RECIVED ONE AND MY VEHICLE IS IN THIS GROUP. THERE ARE MANY MOTOR HOMES BEING DRIVEN ON THE ROAD AT THE PRESENT WITH THIS UNSAFE PROBLEM. ACCIDENTS ARE GOING TO START HAPPENING AND TRW AND SPARATAN SHOULD STEP UP AND DO THE RECALL THE RIGHT WAY AND NOT HANDLE IT AS A "SILENT RECALL". *TT

Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.

NEWMAR: WARRANTY CLAIM MAY BE DENIED BY EVANS TEMPCON, IF WARRANTY PARTS NOT REPLACED WITH ORIGINAL OEM PART. *PE
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
Compare model years
Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
