2007 Nissan Murano Problems

PASSENGER AIR BAG SENSOR. This is blinking on my dash. I looked it up in the manual. It stated that the airbag may not deploy in an accident. I also got a recall notice for this same problem and called the dealer. They said that my vin was not included in the recall even though I had the same make, model and year and the same problem. I had a problem with this when the vehicle was new, they fixed it. They wanted two hundred dollars to look at it. Why is this safety problem in my vehicle not included?

When the car was in the shop for an unrelated repair, I was informed by the shop that the subframe (K frame) is rusted out and will fail "sooner rather than later". i was told the car should not be driven and is unsafe to drive. There was no indication of a structural problem otherwise. The body of the vehicle appears to be rust free.

The rear K frame broke without being in an accident or other physical damage to the car.

2 months ago I Bought vehicle for $4300 and found out 3 weeks ago that the frame is broken. The car is very squirrely on wet roads- no wonder? It's very dangerous and it's going to cost more than the car is worth to fix it.

The rear subframe is extremely rusted and breaking into pieces in multiple areas. The vehicle shakes upon acceleration and slowing down. Due to being lower income I cannot afford to fix the subframe (estimated to cost $400 for the the frame not including labor). Also the vacuum lines dry rotted and fell apart.

Driving to work in the rain the vehicle began to sway when breaks were applied. The back of the vehicle went right and the car went left. I moved to the right lane and the vehicle fishtailed! I was totally afraid that I could drive into a ditch or be killed on the highway. I drove very slowly to the repair shop, after inspection, I needed struts but then the mechanic looked further and saw that the rear k-subframe was completely corroded and unable to be welded. The one piece was completely apart from the other. A danger to drive. Once I began to look for a replacement part, I began to see how many other Murano owners have had the same issues with the subframe rusting out. This is absolutely crazy that this part is not recalled as the part is defective in the construction of it. Nissan should be ashamed. My life and my daughter's was at risk. There are no warning lights to advise of this problem prior to its failure.

Please recall electrical system, started out the doors not locking and trunk wont open then inside lights would not come on. I put my steering wheel down lower and when I did the car would not start. The inside lights come on when the car wont start then when I move steering wheel back up the lights go back off and the car will start again. The all wheel drive lock button will not work and the all wheel drive kicks in and out on it's own while driving the vehicle. While my children and I were on our way to town the vehicle started to lose power and the steering wheel was hard to handle then the all wheel drive locked in and out and then power was back. It was scary and it almost caused me to crash and people to crash into me from sudden speed reduction. The mechanics I take my vehicles to told me I'll have to take it to a Nissan dealership to get the electrical system taken care of or replaced.

I purchased a 2007 Nissan Murano the end of June. The first time I drove it on a wet road I almost lost control, and I was driving well BELOW the speed limit. The next week I got different tires put on and took it for an alignment. The first independent service center I took it to showed me where the rear subframe on BOTH the driver and passenger were completely rusted through, and they told me I should drive the vehicle as little as possible until I got it fixed. I took it to a second independent service center to see if it could be fixed without having to be completely replaced, they told me they could not, nor could an aligment be done and that I should stop driving it immediately. I had only had the car for a month and a half before I had to park it. This is a MAJOR issue that needs to be addressed by Nissan!! I don't have the money to have the car fixed, nor can I sell it. So I'm making payments on a car that is doing nothing but collecting dust and taking up space. Unfortunately I am learning that this is a major issue with this vehicle. Nissan needs to fix it before people are killed, not just people driving the vehicle, but other motorists, and possible pedestrians. The airbag light is also on and I haven't been in an accident, nor has there been any work done to it since I bought it.

WHEN TRANSMISSION IS ENGAGED STEPPING ON THE ACCELERATOR PRODUCES NO RPMS. VEHICLE COSTS TO SIDE OF ROAD AND PROBLEM IS SOMETIMES REMIDIED WITH SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTING OTHER TIMES I HAVE HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP WHERE I HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE.

Recently my 2007 Nissan Murano was dragging a little on slow speeds. I checked the wheels and found the driver's side rear brake had more brake dust then the other side. I pulled the wheels and found that the brake caliper was froze. I bought two "new" calipers and rotors and replaced them. I then used an Air driven suction device to replace all the fluid in the system and bleed the air out of the system. When I started it up the brake pedal was very spongy so I brought to the local tire Kingdom about 1/2 mile away and let them bleed it out. They stated that the master cylinder was now no good. I purchased a "new" master cylinder installed it, and re-bleed the system. The pedal was still dangerously spongy and low so on 06/14/202I the vehicle to the local Nissan dealer. After a few days they stated that the "ABS Brake Actuator" was not functioning. I questioned why the ABS warning light didn't come on and they didn't know. The dealer said the part was no longer available new so hey offered to get one from LKQ scrap yard for $780.00 and for $220.00 more it would be covered for a year. I looked into the issue and found that the 2009 Murano's were recalled for this issue, so I inquired what year was the part coming out of. They didn't know so I got one on my own from the exact same vehicle and brought to them to install. A few days later they stated that the new "Master Cylinder" was defective. I went back to Nappa Auto and bought another one and gave to them to install and re-bleed the system. My question is a vehicle with an ABS warning light a Brake System warning light and even just a Engine check light never came on, why not? The dealer has no answer for me and I am concerned that this will happen again and possibly at a higher rate of speed. Can you investigate this incident for me? MY 2007 NISSAN MURANO'S DIFFERENTIAL JUST FAILED ON A HIGHWAY WITHOUT ANY WARNING. I WAS WITH THREE KIDS ON A HIGH WAY AND IT WAS PITCH DARK. THE ONLY THING I DID THAT DAY WAS TO CHANGE MY REAR TYRES AND I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS MIGHT HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO IT. UPON RESEARCH FOR A NEW PART, I REALIZED THAT QUITE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEIR MURANO AND I AM NOT SURE IF THEY SHOULD BE FORCED TO RECALL THE VEHICLE. *TR

I WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC AND I FELT A WEIRD VIBRATION AND THE VEHICLE FELT AS IF IT WAS SURGING FORWARD. FELT LIKE A MISFIRE SO I DROVE IT HOME AND REPLACED THE SPARK PLUGS. I THEN TEST DROVE IT WITH NEW SPARK PLUGS AND THE PROBLEM WAS THE SAME. I TAKE IT TO MY MECHANIC IS HE ADVISES THAT THE CVT AND OR TRANSFER CASE ASSEMBLY IS THE PROBLEM. I THEN GO ONLINE TO RESEARCH IT AND FIND TONS OF STORIES OF ALL THE SAME PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE IS NOW STUCK IN MY GARAGE BECAUSE I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT AND GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. WHEN I TURN THE WHEEL THE VEHICLE DOESN'T WANT TO MOVE FORWARD , ALMOST LIKE A SLIPPING CLUTCH , AND THEN IT WILL MAKE A LOUD POP AND JERK FORWARD. I AM HAVING IT TOWED TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP AFTER HOLIDAY AND AFTER RESEARCHING I ALREADY KNOW THEY ARE NOT GOING TO COVER IT AND TRY TO STICK ME WITH A 5-6K DOLLAR BILL.
