The emergency braking engaged the brakes for no reason. Was driving down the road with no other vehicles near me and my vehicle beeped at me and engaged the brakes hard causing a skid. I have read this is a known problem and that Nissan is failing to address this serious safety concern.
The problem that the ABS system suddenly applies the brakes is back depsite the recall a few years ago on the Nissan Rogues. This happens ont he highway and on back streets at whatever speed. Yes the car is availabel for inspection. It happends when alone or in traffic, no rhyme or reason. I have not had the time to take it to the dealer yet to investigate. The light may come on or the car brakes itself slightly causing the car to swerve or pitch. This has happened daily last week and this week. This can cause someone to have an accident and endanger the lives of others. There is no warning, the light either comes on or the brakes are applied all of a sudden.
The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport. The contact stated that while reversing, the back over protection camera displayed a solid gray screen and failed to display an image. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. Additionally, the vehicle would not immediately start while pressing the ignition switch. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: [XXX] (Electrical System) nor [XXX] (Back Over Prevention). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall campaigns. The failure mileage was 42,000. the car will not go in reverse and it does by waiting up to 20 minutes car goes in reverse but the car goes by itself while driving accelerating on its own without me pressing on the gas, I have processed the break for acceleration to stop and go the speed I wish to drive. I took it to the mechanic and was told it was the shift lock solenoid the mechanic could not fix the car the mechanic said the part is on backorder with Nissan and there is no release date for when the car car part (shift lock solenoid) will be available to repair the car. I do not feel safe driving the car
My alternator pulley broke off alternator. The belt melted onto the pulley and somehow caused the pulley to snap off. car overheated and broke down on the road.
The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle started jerking. The following day the vehicle failed to start. No warning light was illuminated. The contact also stated that while reversing, the back over prevention camera screen went blank screen and the instrument cluster lights failed to operate as needed. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed with transmission failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
I almost got rear ended because my 2018nissan rogue sport s, randomly went into emergencybraking mode as i was driving through an intersection. I was going the speed limit, and my brakes and inspection are all new. The car started flashing a warning yellow light even thoufh there was no obstruction in front of me and then it came to a complete stop abruptly. I was unable to press the gas or brake.
I was traveling between SC and NY on June 29, 2022. Two hours into the trip I stopped at a rest stop. When I accelerated back to highway speed and entered the freeway the car began decelerating It kept decelerating and I had to pull over to the shoulder. The car shut off. The car would restart and then immediately shut off I tried 5 times with the same result. There were no warning lights display. I had to be towed to the dealership. They tested various systems and then told me that the battery was just weak so they replaced it. This is a safety issue. Traffic on the freeway was very heavy and had been moving very fast. If I had made it into the center lane before the car decided to shut down, there would have been no way to get to the curve without having a major accident.
Back over prevention. The back over camera becomes disabled and will not turn back on.
Car Flashes a warning display on screen red brake light appears and car slams on breaks for no reason nothing around or in front of car. Has happened 3 times.
WHEN APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS UNABLE TO BE USED, LOCKED UP. WITH NO BRAKES, THE RESULT WAS A COLLISION. THE FRONT COLLISION DETECTION THAT CONSTANTLY WARNED FALSELY ON THE DASH. THIS FAILED TO WORK PRIOR TO THE COLLISION AT THIS TIME. AUTOMATIC BRAKES DID NOT ENGAGE EITHER RESULTING IN A SERIOUS CRASH. NISSAN DEALERSHIP IS INSPECTING THE BRAKE BOOSTER, AND BRAKE SYSTEM.
THERE WERE CLICKING NOISES WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE AT THE PREVIOUS STOP BEFORE THE COLLISION. ABOUT 100 YARDS BEFORE A RED LIGHT I WAS PUSHING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT IT WOULD ONLY GO HALF WAY DOWN. THERE WAS NO RESPONSE ON THE BRAKES. ENDED IN COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE
I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING TO SHEBOYGAN , WI FROM CHICAGO, IL. I HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL ON. I WAS GOING 80 IN THE FAST LANE. MY CAR OUT OF NOWHERE SLOWED DOWN ON ITS OWN ABRUPTLY ALMOST CAUSING A 4 CAR COLLISION. I QUICKLY TURNED ON TO THE SHOULDER AND ONCE MY CAR CAME TO A STOP THE CAR DIED. I TRIED TO TURN IT BACK ON AND NOTHING HAPPENED. I HAD NO SENSORS OR WARNING LIGHTS TO GIVE ME SOME TYPE OF CLUE AS TO WHAT HAPPENED. ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO, GOING OVER RAILROAD TRACKS MY CAR ABRUPTLY SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES ON ITS OWN AND CAME TO A STOP ON THE TRACKS. I WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF N THEN BACK ON TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE OFF THE TRACKS.

DRIVING FORWARD ON BURKE ROAD GOING AROUND A BEND THE BRAKING SYSTEM JUST LOCKED UP CAUSING THE ROUGE SPORT TO GO OFF THE ROAD CAUSING DAMAGE TO CAR. AFTER THAT THE MALFUNCTION LIGHT CAME ON. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED AND HAVE DROVE IN THE UNIT SINCE 2018 NEVER HAD ANYTHING LET THAT HAPPEN. SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAYS THEY CAN'T RUN A COMPUTER DIAGNOSE.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2018 NISSAN ROGUE SPORT S AWD AND OUT OF THE BLUE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL POP UP'S CHASSIS CONTROL SYSTEM ERROR AND AND ALL OF THE LITTLE INSTRUMENT DIAGRAMS STARTED FLASHING ON AND OFF THE RADIO AND CLOCK TURN OFF THE CAR WAS MAKING A BUZZING SOUND. SO I PULLED OVER OFF THE ROAD TOOK OUT THE MANUAL IT SAY TAKE TO A NISSAN DEALER FOR COMPLETE SCAN OF ALL THE SYSTEMS. WHICH I WILL BE DOING ON WEDNESDAY 1/8/2020, WHICH IS THE EARLIEST THAT THEY COULD SEE ME. BUT MY QUESTION IS IS THEIR AND ISSUES WITH THIS CAR BECAUSE I'VE BEEN CHECKING ONLINE AND ALOT OF PEOPLE OR REPORTING THEY HAVE ISSUSES WITH THIS SYSTEM AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO GET AND ANSWER ON WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. AND IF THIS ISSUSES HAS BE GOING ON SINCE ABOUT 2016 THAT I'VE FOUND WHY HASN'T NISSAN DONE SOMETHING ABOUT IT,
