The defect: Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2024-2025 LFS transit buses. The emergency brake valve may have been improperly tightened. A loose connection may cause an air leak and the unintentional activation of the parking brake.
The risk: The bus may suddenly slow or stop without the brake lights turning on, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Nova Bus will inspect and properly tighten the air line connections as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 21, 2026. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova Bus's number for this recall is CR5494.

The defect: Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2022-2025 LFS transit buses. The telemetry control unit installed in parallel with the vehicle monitoring system may cause a data overload.
The risk: An overloaded control unit may shutdown, causing a loss of drive power and increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Nova Bus will modify the connection configuration and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 29, 2026. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR5882. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning June 29, 2026.

VISIBILITY:GLASS, SIDE/REAR:CRITICAL FASTENERS

The defect: Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2025 LFS and 2024 LFS Artic transit buses. Inadequate adhesion around the window frame may cause the glass to detach. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
The risk: The glass can fall out of the frame, increasing the risk of ejection and injury during a crash. Detached window glass can also become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Nova Bus will inspect and replace the glass as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed May 29, 2026. Owners will receive another notice once remedy becomes available. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR5877.
