Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
As a product improvement, Pierce will be changing coolant probes from a contact probe to a capacitive sensor.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL
Fault Code 241 for the vehicle speed sensor can potentially lead to customer complaints that the vehicle's speedometer can max out or read incorrectly.
STEERING; SUSPENSION
Improper installation of the vent lines that connect the wheel ends and carrier can cause the seals to blow out and leak oil. This document is to alert our dealers to check the T3 rear axles in their coverage area and to provide how to correct improper routings and installations of vent lines and breathers.
SUSPENSION
This bulletin will provide instruction to measure current torque rod specifications to ensure that the correct Hendrickson® TRAAX ROD® torque rods and shims (if applicable) are ordered for replacement, if desired to change to. These torque rods and their bushings have a significantly increased component life for severe-duty applications versus standard torque rods and bushings.
STRUCTURE
Proper repair of frame rail corrosion.

To improve customer experiences by eliminating most needs for an engineering review, this service bulletin clarifies the upgrade procedure from PMA300 to PMA500 governors. Two options are given. The first option applies only to vehicles that do not have a PUC pump and are upgrading from a PMA300 to a PMA500 governor. The second option can be used for any kind vehicle that is upgrading from the PMA300 to the PMA500 governor.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
Compare model years
Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
