2002 Plymouth Grand Voyager Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Our database holds 4 NHTSA owner-reported complaints for the 2002 Plymouth Grand Voyager. Each one is a report filed by an owner or driver and published by NHTSA without most of them being verified. THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING VAN, SOMETIMES IT STAYS ON FOR A LONG TIME OR OTHER TIMES ITS ONLY ON FOR A SHORT TIME AND THEN GOES OFF. EACH TIME IT GOES ON YOU HEAR A WARNING CHIME. MY SEARCH OF THE INTERNET FOR THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM SHOWS A RECALL ON THE 1998-2000 VANS FOR A CLOCKSPRING REPAIR. I HAVE ALSO READ THAT WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON, THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY. I HAVE NOT CONFIRMED THIS THROUGH A DEALER. THIS SORT OF PROBLEM IS A TOUGH ONE TO DEAL WITH AS A COMSUMER BECAUSE UNLESS THE LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON, ITS HARD FOR THE DEALER TO FIND THE PROBLEM. IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO KNOW HOW MANY OTHER CONSUMERS HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM AND IF THESE VEHICLES SHOULD COME UNDER A RECALL LIKE THE PRIOR YEARS.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
