2021 RAM Promaster Other / unspecified Problems

I had NHTSA recall for this generator done (23E-030) which was to solve the same problem I just had. Apparently, they just moved to a smaller diameter fuel line to fit the fuel pump better. However, this hose also came off my Cummins generator fuel pump and was spewing gas all over the generator and the ground when we ran it. This is a very unsafe condition and I'm surprised, after the recall was performed by a certified Cummins dealer (verified by Cummins) that this "new" fuel line has also come off the fuel pump.

While driving, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of motive power without warning. The driver coasted off the road into a swale and required a tow to an authorized RAM dealer, December 9 2025 to CDJR of Tampa Bay, Tampa FL. The dealer initially indicated the failure was covered under Recall 44A, then changed their position and characterized it as a powertrain warranty repair. Following that repair the vehicle was returned immediately in January 2026 when it would not engage reverse. In May 2026 the vehicle experienced a CV joint failure at 20,411 miles — approximately 1,000 miles after the January repair. The RAM ProMaster 3500 is front wheel drive and CV joints connect directly to the transmission. The recurring failures following the repair present a serious safety concern. The December repair receipt is 10 pages and January is 5 the unit is currently at an authorized mopar shop. Please let us know if you require those receipts.

The contact owns a 2022 Winnebago Solis built on a 2021 Ram Promaster 2500 chassis. The contact received notification of the NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V049000 (Equipment) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Additionally, the contact stated that the manufacturer was notified of the issue and was advised to have the technician call to order the parts. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

While driving Highway 95 in Bullhead City, AZ the awning deployed. I heard a very large noise and the BMPro making a noise as if the awning button was being pressed. I was in the middle lane of the 3 lane hwy and immediately pulled over to the right. My friend removed it on scene and put it in the van. 1. 12 Jan drove it to California. Turned in my van and awning to [XXX], Santa Fe Springs, CA on 13 January. I haven’t heard from the dealership but have a lot of email correspondence from the manufacturer, Thor. I don’t know what they did with the part. Mileage was 7,740 miles. I opened the awning once at my house right after I bought it. It’s never been opened since. 2. I could have been injured or died if it would have hit something or someone else and I would have been traveling at a higher rate of speed. Others driving could have been injured or died and at the very least a great deal of property damage. 3. I have no idea what Mike Thompson Dealership did when I dropped it off. My service advisor said they were going to have the local Thor Rep look at it to determine if it was under warranty. After service Rep told me this, I contacted Thor and described what happened and the lady said it was absolutely covered under warranty. I have been in email contact with Thor and have all the emails between us but can’t figure out how to get them in this report. 4. I don’t know when and if the local Thor Rep reviewed the damage. Dealership has not communicated with me. 5. Absolutely no warning this would happen. Like I said, as it was happening and when I pulled over, the sound of the awning deploying was coming from the BMPro. As a side note… this incident has given me PTSD feeling like I cannot trust that this will not happen again and that I might not be so lucky next time. Propane monitor alarm went off while driving and continued while parked. RV tech found that LPG line leading to Truma Combi water heater/furnace kinked, cracked, and leaking propane gas. Tech disconnected propane and recommended the RV be returned to the manufacturer.

While driving my winnebago Travato, we heard a sudden loud noise from the passenger side. We immediately stopped the van in the middle of the street, looked out the side and noticed that our awning was hanging off the side of the RV We turned on the hazard lights and went outside. Once outside, we realized the awning had completely broken down, unfurled, and was dragging on the street. One of the arms even broke in half and fell off. There was absolutely no warning whatsoever and we were in shock when it happened, especially since we were in the middle of a busy street and there were many cars around us.

LUG NUTS ARE LOOSE ON RIMS, NO SPECIFIC ONES HOWEVER UPON CHECKING IT IS AT TIMES ONE, TWO OR THREE AT A TIME LOOSE. LUGS ARE TORQUED ACCORDING TO SPECS BUT BOCOME LOOSE WHEN DRIVING. ONCE IT HAPPENS RIM DETACHES FROM HUB AND BREAKS STUBS OFF MAKING VEHICLE INOPERABLE. VEHICLE WOBBLES

The lugs become detached from rim and anchor stubs are reaped off for pressure. All lugs on torqued to specification however the issue is the wheel become to wobble and breaks off. This is one of 5 Ram Promasters 2021 - 3500 cargo vans.

The driver side lugs keep coming off even when torqued correctly. It causes the vehicle to put pressure on the small stems which are breaking off or sheared off due to the heat and pressure. Vehicle wobbles immediately making the vehicel unsafe to drive. Several drivers have reported the issue to us. this is a fleet vehicle. Ram Promaster 3500 - 2021. We have documented invoices with this issues on 4 other Ram Promasters 3500. Please help as this is causing a serious problem with these vehicle going into the community. I can provide all other vins and invocies.
