What this recall covers

NHTSA's campaign record, quoted as published

The defect

Oshkosh Corporation (Oshkosh) is recalling certain 2024-2025 S-Series vehicles. The front axle housing wall thickness may not be sufficient and can cause the axle to fail.

The risk

Front axle failure can cause a sudden loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Oshkosh will inspect and replace the front axles as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 30, 2025. Owners may contact Oshkosh customer service at 1-833-304-8100.

Notes

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 (TTY 888-275-9171) or go to nhtsa.gov.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
