The defect: THE AWNINGS FOR THE SLIDE-OUT ROOM CAN UNFURL OR UNROLL DURING TRANSIT CAUSING THE BRACKET TO RIP FREE OF THE SIDEWALL OF THE VEHICLE.
The risk: THE AWNING COULD BREAK LOOSE WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION RESULTING IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT AND PERSONAL INJURY.
The remedy: CAREFREE OF COLORADO IS CONDUCTING THE OWNER NOTIFICATION AND REMEDY CAMPAIGN FOR THIS RECALL. DEALERS WILL INSTALL ARM LOCKS, ANTI-BILLOW STUDS AND BRACKETS AS WELL AS WIND DEFLECTORS ON THESE AWNINGS.
