2000 Shasta Travelmaster Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

HI, MY NAME IS [XXX] AND I OWN A 2000 SHASTA TRAVELMASTER MOTORHOME. I RECENTLY HAD A FLAT TIRE AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS NO WHEEL WELLS TO PROTECT THE PROPANE LINES THAT WENT OVER THE DUEL TIRES TO THE FRIDGE, WATER HEATER AND FURNACE. THE FLAT TIRE GOT ALL THREE LINES. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS IS SOMETIME THAT WAS FORGOTTEN OR IS THIS NORMAL FOR THIS COACH. I TALKED TO THE DEALER WHOM SOLD ME THE COACH BUT HAD NO IDEA ON WHAT TO DO FOR ME. THIS MOTORHOME IS A FLAT TIRE NIGHTMARE IF THIS IS THE NORM. IT COST MY INSURANCE $400.00 PLUS MY $100.00 DEDUCTIBLE TO REPAIR. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS THE NORM FOR MOTORHOMES TO NOT HAVE WHEEL WELLS OR IS MY COACH BY IT'S SELF. *AK INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
