Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Safety recallsA safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
0
InvestigationsNHTSA opens an investigation to examine whether a safety defect may exist. An open investigation is not a determination that a defect exists, and many investigations close without a recall. Investigations can, however, lead to one.
0
Crash or fire reportedComplaints whose submitter recorded that a crash or a fire occurred. These are the reporter's own answers on the NHTSA form, not verified findings.

Overview

Our database contains 6 NHTSA owner-reported complaints for the 2006 Suzuki C50 (boulevard), most frequently naming the electrical, other / unspecified and tires & wheels categories.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

What owners report

Complaints grouped by the component NHTSA recorded

  • Electrical225.0%
  • Other / unspecified225.0%

No recalls in our database for this model year

That does not guarantee a specific vehicle is unaffected — recalls are issued against VINs, and new campaigns are announced regularly. Check a VIN on NHTSA.gov.

I PURCHASED MY BIKE BRAND NEW IN 2006 AND IT HAS WHAT APPEARS TO BE CRACKS/LINES ON THE RIMS. HAVE READ THAT OTHERS HAVE NOTICED THIS TO. NOW WITH ONLY 7000 MILES ON IT I REMOVED THE GAS TANK BECAUSE IT WAS NOT RUNNING CORRECTLY. UPON REMOVING THE FUEL FILTER/PUMP FROM THE GAS TANK I NOTICED PIECES OF PLASTIC DEBRIS EVERYWHERE. IT APPEARS THAT GAS ATE THROUGH THE PLASTIC COATING ON THE WIRES OF THE FUEL FILTER/PUMP. NOW THE BIKE ONLY SPUTTERS WHEN IN GEAR AND WILL NOT DRIVE. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO AND IF THIS IS GOING TO BE A SAFETY PROBLEM. I ASSUMING THAT SOME OF THE DEBRIS MADE IT THROUGH THE WHOLE FUEL SYSTEM AND THAT IS WHY IT WILL NOT RUN PROPERLY.

I OWN A 2006 SUZUKI BOULEVARD C50 MOTORCYCLE. CRACKS DEVELOPED ON FRONT WHEEL HUB. REPORTED CRACKS TO DEALERSHIP IN MAY 2007. FACTORY STATED THEY WERE CASTING "IMPERFECTIONS". I SAY THESE ARE CRACKS, THEY CONTINUED TO GROW. REPORTED TO DEALERSHIP IN DECEMBER OF 2007 THAT THE "IMPERFECTIONS" WERE GROWING LONGER AND WIDER. FACTORY CONTINUED TO CLAIM THEM NOT OF A SAFETY CONCERN. NEITHER DEALERSHIP OR FACTORY ARE WILLING TO REPLACE THE WHEEL. I BELIEVE THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED. GOOGLE SEARCH SHOWS OTHERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THE SAME RESULTS FROM THE FACTORY. I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THESE WHEELS. *TR
