2015 Thor Motor Coach Axis Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Our database holds 3 NHTSA owner-reported complaints for the 2015 Thor Motor Coach Axis. Each one is a report filed by an owner or driver and published by NHTSA without most of them being verified. DOOR CLOSED LATCHED, WHEN TRYING TO OPEN IT WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. HAD TO CALL SOMEONE TO LET ME OUT. DID THIS SEVERAL TIMES THE PAST WEEK WHILE CAMPING. WHEN STOPPED IN REST AREA HAD TO HAVE SOMEONE OPEN THE DOOR TO LET ME OUT. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND PARKED IN CAMPING AREA AND IN REST AREA. I DON'T KNOW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND COULD NOT GET OUT. THE DOOR LATCH WOULD NOT LET ME OUT. HAS A TRIMARK ENTRANCE DOOR LOCK WITH A ZINC NOT STEEL LATCH. THEY HAVE UPDATED LATCH AS THE ZINC ONE WEARS AND CAUSES THE LOCK IN, THE STEEL LATCH COSTS ANYWHERE FROM $95 TO $200 AND NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY OR RECALL AS THE WINNEBAGO MOTOR HOMES WERE RECALLED

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
