What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2015 Thor Motor Coach Axis, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

DOOR CLOSED LATCHED, WHEN TRYING TO OPEN IT WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. HAD TO CALL SOMEONE TO LET ME OUT. DID THIS SEVERAL TIMES THE PAST WEEK WHILE CAMPING. WHEN STOPPED IN REST AREA HAD TO HAVE SOMEONE OPEN THE DOOR TO LET ME OUT. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND PARKED IN CAMPING AREA AND IN REST AREA. I DON'T KNOW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND COULD NOT GET OUT. THE DOOR LATCH WOULD NOT LET ME OUT. HAS A TRIMARK ENTRANCE DOOR LOCK WITH A ZINC NOT STEEL LATCH. THEY HAVE UPDATED LATCH AS THE ZINC ONE WEARS AND CAUSES THE LOCK IN, THE STEEL LATCH COSTS ANYWHERE FROM $95 TO $200 AND NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY OR RECALL AS THE WINNEBAGO MOTOR HOMES WERE RECALLED
