The contact owns a 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. The contact received notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V869000 (Hybrid Propulsion System); however, the part to complete the recall repair was unavailable. A local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the part was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time to perform the recall repair. The dealer was regularly contacted, and with each contact, the dealer provided a later availability date for the recall remedy. The last time the dealer was contacted, an estimated time of availability was no longer provided. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The contact stated that prior to purchasing and taking possession of the brand-new vehicle, the dealer informed the contact that the vehicle had been repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V869000 (HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM); however, the contact recently received a recall notification from the vehicle's mobile app. Upon verification, the contact became aware that the VIN was still included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V869000 (HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM). The vehicle was taken back the dealer, who confirmed that the recall repair needed to be completed, and the contact was advised that it would take 1-2 days to repair the vehicle.
