2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid

Fog Lights (Rigid Industries Version) significantly shake during normal street driving conditions. Any minor bumps on the road cause a shudder like movement from the fog lights that is distracting while driving and potentially blinding to oncoming drivers as the lights flash up and down. Vehicle was taken to Beaver Toyota and inspected for this concern, the technician inspected the fog lights and stated that there was nothing wrong. The vibration / shake from the fog lights is well documented as a concern in online forums, however, everyone seems to get the same response from Toyota. It seems other Land Cruiser owners with the same fog light package have no issues with shake while others have the same issue described above, making me believe that there is a defect with some models fog lights, the housings, brackets, or bumper assembly. This needs to be solved from Toyota, not only is it distracting while driving, it makes me want to not use the fog lights at all. For a $70k+ vehicle, the movement from the fog lights should not be "normal".

I purchased a Maxi-Cosi Peri 180 infant car seat and discovered what I believe may be a defect in the carrier-to-base locking mechanism. When the infant carrier is installed in the base and appears to be fully latched, the rear of the carrier can lift out of its locking slot with gentle upward pressure without using the release handle. The front of the carrier remains attached, but the rear partially disengages from the base. The child’s safety may be put at risk because the carrier does not appear to remain fully secured to the base during normal handling. I am concerned that if the rear of the carrier can partially disengage this easily, it could affect the seat’s performance during sudden braking or a crash. The car seat is available for inspection upon request. At the time of this report, the car seat has not been inspected by the manufacturer, law enforcement, insurance representatives, or any other third party. I have contacted the manufacturer regarding my concerns and am awaiting their response. The seat was installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and the issue was repeatable after verifying proper installation. we have videos explaining/showing this as well.

The fuel line clip of the Land Cruiser got disconnected and started leaking gasoline while the engine was running. I had the car towed to Hammer Toyota and they had us pay for the hose to be reconnected. I’ve searched online and seen people have similar incidents, where the clip of the fuel line gets easily disconnected when driving over puddles. This happened as a defect, as no one had spent any time working under the car aside from the toyota dealership. I believe a similar issue has happened with the 6th gen 4Runner and a remedy was issued.

My 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser has exhibited persistent brake squealing since the day it was purchased. The noise occurs during normal braking conditions and has been present from the very first use of the vehicle. This is not a break-in issue, as it has never resolved on its own. Despite initially denying the issue, Toyota and the dealership have since acknowledged the problem and confirmed the existence of a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) addressing brake noise on this vehicle. However, despite multiple contacts with both the dealership and Toyota Motor North America directly, no corrective action has been taken, and the defect remains unresolved. This constitutes a known manufacturing defect acknowledged by Toyota themselves. The failure to remedy a documented TSB issue in a timely manner is unacceptable and may constitute a violation of warranty obligations.

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the driver's assist feature became inoperable, causing the vehicle to unintendedly steer into the left lane. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle detected an upcoming off-ramp and suddenly determined that the driver did not wish to take the off-ramp and self-corrected at the last moment, automatically steering the vehicle to the left across two lanes in highway traffic. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to duplicate or diagnose a failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the front windshield had developed several cracks and had to be replaced. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 9,000.
