Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
SUSPENSION
The control arms of the front and trailing axles are equipped with a flexible ball-joint at the chassis side. Van Hool has several suppliers for the repair kit of this flexible ball-joint. All of the repair kits contain a flexible ball-joint, a spacer and a snap ring. Due to not equal thickness of the spacer in the different kits, it is important to install all three the kit parts when replacing a flexible ball-joint. Do not mix parts of different repair kits!
SUSPENSION
Mobile column lifts raise the vehicle under the wheels. This service bulletin is a reminder about the usage of mobile column lifts when lifting a complete vehicle.
SERVICE BRAKES; SUSPENSION
INTRODUCTION The purpose of this service bulletin is to inform you about the removal and installation of Raufoss line fittings
VISIBILITY/WIPER
TO CHECK EMERGENCY SIDE WINDOW OPERATION To ensure trouble-free operation, the emergency side windows must be checked on a regular basis. This will allow you to confirm the proper operation of the emergency exit handle and unlatching mechanism, as well as the proper installation and function of the window seals
SUSPENSION
Van Hool recently changed-over in production to a “longer” articulation shaft (VH11717611) to fasten the wheel-suspension arms to the steering knuckle carrier/hub carrier. Field experience has shown that this change-over has a positive impact on the lifespan of the rubber bushings. The “longer” articulation shaft may be used with the M18 as well as with the M20 fastening system (refer to figures 2 and 3).
This service bulletin provides you with information about the location of emergency side window decals so that the vehicle meets the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) in the U.S and the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS) in Canada about this subject.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
Compare model years
Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
