WHEELS
Product Improvement: ALL VEHICLES WITH LIGHT-ALLOY WHEELS - Introduction of wheel-end monitoring system (WEM). Van Hool has released a wheel-end monitoring system (WEM) which can be installed on all vehicles equipped with light-alloy wheels. The WEM is installed at the outboard side of the wheel and monitors vibrations produced by the wheel bearing. It warns in case of bearing raceway spalling by flashing a red LED on the unit. The WEM is delivered with a magnet which is used to change from "transport" to "standstill" mode.

Service Information - Introduction of new 4/2 solenoid valve in compressed-air circuit Van Hool has switched over into production to a new type of 4/2 solenoid valve in the compressed-air system. As the previous Knorr-Bremse (Bosch) solenoid valve (VH11102170) is no longer made available as spare part, customers will receive a Wabco solenoid valve (VH660526759) when ordering. Both valves are interchangeable, but some differences must be considered. Consult the information in this service bulletin for a proper installation.

Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
