The defect: CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH NORCOLD REFRIGERATOR COOLING UNITS MODEL NUMBERS 1200LR AND 1200RIM WITH SERIAL NUMBERS BETWEEN 700000 AND 1008700 . THESE REFRIGERATORS CAN EXPERIENCE LOW CYCLE FATIGUE FAILURE WHICH CAN LEAD TO THE LIQUID SOLUTION SLOWLY LEAKING FROM THE SEALED, PRESSURIZED COOLING UNIT THROUGH A SMALL CRACK.
The risk: IF A LEAK OCCURS AND THE UNIT IS CONTINUALLY OPERATED, HYDROGEN GAS MAY BE EXPELLED AND CAN BE IGNITED, RESULTING IN A FIRE, POSSIBLY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
The remedy: NORCOLD WILL NOTIFY ITS CUSTOMERS AND PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT COOLING UNIT FREE OF CHARGE. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT NOROLD SERVICE AT 1-800-667-3005 OR WINNEBAGO AT 641-585-3535.

ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON A 1996 WINNIEBAGO MINNI WINNI; HAS A FORD E350 SUPER DUTY CHASSIS. WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, FELT A VIBRATION RIGHT REAR INSIDE TIRE, PULLED OVER, AND TIRE WAS BLEWOUT, AND ALL THE RUBBER WAS OFF. SECOND TIME ON 19 AUG 2000, WHILE TRAVELING AT 65 MPH, LEFT REAR OUTSIDE TIRE THREW ALL TREAD OFF. *AK THE FAILED TIRES WERE FIRESTONE STEEL TEX RADIAL. WHEN THE TIRE BLEW OUT, THE TREAD CAME OFF COMPLETELY. THE CUSTOMER REPLACED ALL FIRESTONE TIRES WITH ANOTHER BRAND. *YH

WHILE DRIVING, LEFT REAR INSIDE TIRE BLEWOUT. CONSUMER HAD HEARD A NOISE WHICH KEPT GETTING LOUDER, TOOK TO SERVICE STATION & MECHANIC NOTICED TIRE HAD NO TREAD. ALL TIRES WERE REPLACED EXCEPT SPARE TIRE. ALSO, OIL WAS LEAKING FROM GENERATOR. THIS WAS DUE TO SHIMS NOT BEING INSTALLED & IT NEEDED HAVE SHIMS. TIRE: FIRESTONE STEEL TEX R43, SIZE LT 225/75R16. *AK *SLC

STRUCTURE

Winnebago has come to the realization that some Micro Minnie models may experience a flex on the outside edge of the floor and off door sidewall. As a result, the single outrigger support behind the wheel well may become deformed and/or the exterior structure will become compressed at this point. The repair procedure will include additional outriggers and a steel shim.
