Recalls, owner-reported complaints, investigations and safety data

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Safety recallsA safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
0
InvestigationsNHTSA opens an investigation to examine whether a safety defect may exist. An open investigation is not a determination that a defect exists, and many investigations close without a recall. Investigations can, however, lead to one.
0
Crash or fire reportedComplaints whose submitter recorded that a crash or a fire occurred. These are the reporter's own answers on the NHTSA form, not verified findings.

What owners report

Complaints grouped by the component NHTSA recorded

  • Engine266.7%
  • Driver assistance133.3%

Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

Safety recalls

No recalls in our database for this model year

That does not guarantee a specific vehicle is unaffected — recalls are issued against VINs, and new campaigns are announced regularly. Check a VIN on NHTSA.gov.

RUNAWAY FORD V-10 ENGINE IN A 2010 WINNEBAGO OUTLOOK RV INCIDENT # 1 - 21 MAY 2011 - CANON FALLS MN WE WERE ON OUR WAY BACK ON HWY52 COMING TO A STOP LIGHT IN CANON FALLS AND I WAS SLOWING DOWN FROM REGULAR HWY SPEEDS 60-65MPH. I DIDN'T NOTICE ANYTHING DIFFERENT UNTIL I WAS GOING AROUND 10-15 MPH. I THEN NOTICED THE RV'S BRAKES DID NOT SEEM TO BE SLOWING US DOWN LIKE NORMAL AND THEN I COULD HEAR THE ENGINE ROARING SO I LOOKED AT THE RPM'S AND IT WAS STILL SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 2000-3000RPM.S AND NOT GOING DOWN AT ALL. I WAS PUSHING THE BRAKE ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR STILL PROBABLY JUST GOING 5MPH OR SO AND IT DID NOT FEEL LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STOP. ALL OF THE SUDDEN IT JUST SLOWED QUICKLY THE LAST FEW FEET AS I WAS ALMOST IN THE INTERSECTION THE ENGINE STILL ROARING AND ONCE IT STOPPED I QUICKLY PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND THEN THE RPM'S WENT DOWN BACK TO NORMAL. I SHIFTED BACK INTO DRIVE AND IT WORKED THE REST OF THE WAY HOME WITH OUT ANY PROBLEMS. INCIDENT # 2 - 19 JUNE 2011- SAVAGE MINNESOTA WHILE SLOWING DOWN [LESS THAN 20 MPH] TO A STOP AND BRAKING, RV WOULD NOT SLOW FOR A STOP.
