The defect: Alliance RV, LLC (Alliance) is recalling certain 2025-2027 Paradigm recreational trailers equipped with certain Curt Touring Coil Suspensions. The shock bolts may have been incorrectly tightened.
The risk: Broken shock retainer bolt heads and washers may detach and become a road hazard to other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the shock bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 23, 2026. Owners may contact Alliance customer service at 1-574-218-7165.

The following events occurred during the final stages of the purchase of a new Recreational Vehicle. The RV was in the possession and control of Blue Compass RV San Antonio; we had not yet taken possession of or accepted delivery of the vehicle. We were informed by Blue Compass that this vehicle is subject to NHTSA Campaign 26V337000 / Lippert Recall 26E032 and could not be removed from lot until the recall had been performed. NHTSA states that affected shock bolts may be incorrectly tightened, and that broken shock-retainer bolt heads and washers may detach and become a road hazard, increasing crash risk. The recall requires replacement of the shock bolts. Blue Compass told us the RV could not be towed until the recalled bolts were replaced. The dealership then represented that the recall and related suspension problem were being addressed. Blue Compass also replaced a suspension trailing arm and removed/reinstalled shock-mounting hardware, but the required recall hardware was not installed. Blue Compass nevertheless released the RV for highway delivery and arranged for the RV to be delivered to our location 261 miles away. We later discovered the recall had not been completed and, as of September 24, 2026, it remains incomplete. We ask NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation to review how this new RV was released despite the dealer’s documented knowledge of the open recall, failure to complete the remedy, and representations that the recall was being taken care of before delivery. We also ask NHTSA to determine what the manufacturer, Alliance RV, knew and authorized regarding the suspension work. Blue Compass told us Alliance representatives had been contacted and that factory authorization had been obtained for replacement of a trailing arm. We have not been provided records showing what Alliance was told, what it approved, what parts or hardware it understood would be installed, or whether it knew the recall remained incomplete when the RV was released.
