The risk: A cable step that fails during use increases the risk of injury.
The remedy: Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the cable crimps. If the cables are improperly crimped, Altec will provide instructions and a kit to replace the wire rope assemblies. Repairs will be performed free of charge. The PTO may leak oil onto the exhaust heat shield thermal blanket.
The risk: Oil absorbed by the exhaust heat shield thermal blanket has an increased risk of a fire from being exposed to hot engine components.
The remedy: Altec will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the heat shield with a redesigned version, as well as install plumbing to relocate a pressure switch and install hoses with improved routing to increase their distance from heat sources, free of charge.
