What this recall covers

NHTSA's campaign record, quoted as published

The defect

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2019-2022 AT335 vehicles. An inverter-powered outlet may have been installed at the aerial boom tip without ground-fault interrupter (GFCI) protection.

The risk

An outlet without GFCI protection may fail to shut off electrical power when a ground-fault occurs, increasing the risk of injury or fire.

The remedy

Dealers will inspect and install a GFCI outlet as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 25, 2023. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 3091.

Notes

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
