I had owned my car as the first owner. Within the first year of ownership, I experienced my first suspension failure. It happened when I drove my car during an off day to run some errands, driving locally at daytime with normal speeds. Mind you, here in New York, there’s a lot of street cameras. There aren’t many opportunities to go fast. During normal driving one day, I noticed a loud thump noise, but the car did not go over any potholes or hit anything of the sort which led me to be confused. So I pulled over to a nearby parking lot to see what was going on. I later then saw some error messages about the air suspension. I got out of the car to see that my car was abnormally low to the ground. I also tried to raise the air suspension through the settings, but it wouldn’t work at the moment. I then called Audi to tow the car to the service center located at Audi Queens. They investigated on the matter, said that the front struts were blown out and had to be replaced. They refused to believe that this was anything related to a malfunction and insisted that I hit something. Unfortunately I didn’t have a dash cam, otherwise I would’ve solidified my case. Long story short, I later found out that the 2022 models have had a known issue with the front struts. I’m so lucky that when the time this happened, that nobody or myself got hurt. But this has got to be one of the most frightening thing, to think a car would fail on you suddenly like this!

I have had multiple instances of brake failure while driving this car and it is to a point where I've been directed by my attorney to not drive the vehicle anymore. First instance of possible serious injury or death occurred on 1/15/2024: I brought the vehicle in to Audi of Iowa City because the brakes did not feel reliable. Several days before I brought the vehicle in, I was going 35 MPH and had the pedal all the way to the floor before it would stop. The ABS kicked on to stop the vehicle. This happened on dry pavement. There was no snow, ice, gravel, or other issues with the surface which would cause the car to not stop. Second instance of possible serious injury or death occurred on 2/14/2024: I had the vehicle towed to Audi of Iowa City after experiencing the exact same brake failure issue that day after driving the vehicle less than 100 miles after it was returned to me. Third instance of possible serious injury or death occurred on 5/10/2024: I brought the vehicle in to Audi of Iowa City again after the vehicle failed to stop in a safe manner earlier that day. I was going 30 MPH and the brake pedal went to the floor. I got no response out of the brake pedal. Pre-collision braking stopped the car but there was no resistance in the pedal before that. I have requested Audi replace or repurchase the vehicle three times, each time Audi has declined the buyback and claim the vehicle is safe. There is currently an open, unresolved recall on the brakes for this vehicle AND there is a current national stop sale on all e-tron GT and Porsche Taycan models.

Compare model years
Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
