The defect: Brinkley RV (Brinkley) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Model G and Model Z fifth wheel travel trailers, equipped with a removable step assembly. The clip-on bracket mounting bolts may come loose, allowing the steps to detach.
The risk: Steps that detach while in use increase the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the clip-on bracket as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 21, 2025. Owners may contact Brinkley customer service at 1-574-501-4280. Brinkley's number for this recall is REC-2502.

The defect: Brinkley RV (Brinkley) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Model Z Fifth Wheel trailers equipped with Curt Helux Pin Boxes. The pin box fasteners may have been improperly tightened.
The risk: The fasteners can loosen and fall out, allowing the tow vehicle to detach from the pin box and increasing the risk of a crash.

The defect: Brinkley RV (Brinkley) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Model Z fifth wheels and Model Z-Air travel trailers. The 12-volt system may have been incorrectly wired without overcurrent protection and with undersized wiring for the refrigerator, which can result in overheating.
The risk: Overheated wiring can increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed in July 8, 2024. Owners may contact Brinkley customer service at 1-574-501-4280. Brinkley's number for this recall is REC-2402.

From the time of purchase we have had an issue with the fuse blowing when we retracted the kitchen slide. We have had our Brinkley 5th wheel in for service at approved Brinkley locations for this issue multiple times with the issue reproduced. Service has occurred for this issue from March 2024 until April 2026. In April 2024 when we picked up the trailer we were told by Mike Thompson dealership where we purchased the RV, that this is common and we should invest in fuses. Despite multiple trips for service the issue has yet to be resolved. We have ultimately been told to use resettable fuses, however we are extremely worried about a potential fire hazard. There is an overcurrent that occurs with the slide retraction. Although a resettable fuse may resolve the symptom it does not treat the cause. When a 30A fuse has an audible pop, you know that there are multiples of 30A hitting the fuse resulting in 100+amps of current coursing through the wiring, stressing the motor and the printed circuit board until that fuse opens. Resettable fuses are good for approximately 100 cycles before they are no longer viable. If these fuses short, it is unknown how long the PCB trace will be able to handle the current prior to it burning and becoming a fuse itself. This would ruin the main fuse panel board and possibly the motor while potentially causing a fire.
