2013 Buick Verano Tires & wheels Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the tire or wheel system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Tires & wheels reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

the passenger front sidewall of the tire has a bubble. The tire is a Goodyear LS-2 235/45R18 is the model. I felt very unsafe do drive on a defected tire. The tire dealer told me it was not a defect and i would have to replace the tire at full cost. There was no warning of a problem with the tire. i discovered it after a routine vehicle inspection by myself.

JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2013 BUICK VERANO WITH LESS THAN 15,000 MILES ON IT. I'VE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE TWO TIRES BEFORE HITTING MY TWO WEEK MARK. EACH TIME I WAS DRIVING 30MPH AND UNDER EACH TIME A BLOW OUT OCCURRED. RESEARCHED AND FOUND OUT THAT THESE CONTINENTAL TIRES HAVE BEEN NOT ONLY BEEN RECALLED BUT THE CONTINENTAL PROCONTACT 235/45 18 HAVE HAD MANY ISSUES BLOWING OUT AT MOMENTS NOTICE. BUT NOT YET RECALLED ALONG WITH PREVIOUS CONTINENTAL TIRES. THESE TIRES NEED TO BE RECALLED AGAIN AND TAKEN OFF THE MARKET BEFORE A TRAGIC INJURY OCCURRES IF IT HASNT HAPPENED ALREADY. *TR

WE HAVE HAD 4 TIRE FAILURES WITH OUR CONTINENTAL TIRES. THERE HAVE BEEN 3 BLOWOUTS AND A BULGE IN A SIDEWALL. TWO OF THE BLOWOUTS OCCURRED AT SPEEDS LESS THAN 25MPH OVER SMALL POTHOLES. TIRES HAD 6000 MILES AND 100 MILES ON THEM FOR THE LOW SPEED BLOWOUTS. NO BENT RIMS. ALL DEEMED AS ROAD HAZARD. BULGED TIRE COVERED BY BUICK DEALER. I PAID HALF FOR FIRST BLOWOUT, ALL OF THE FIRST LOW SPEED BLOWOUT, AND CONTINENTAL COVERED THE LAST BECAUSE THE TIRE ONLY HAD 100 MILES ON IT. FIRST TWO TIRE TROUBLES STARTED WHEN THE CAR HAD 7200 MILES ON IT. THE NEXT ONE HAD 6000 MILES AND THE FOURTH HAD 100 MILES ON IT. CONTACTED CONTINENTAL AND THEY DENIED ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE SIDEWALLS ON THIS LINE OF TIRES.
