2020 Chevrolet Traverse Brakes Problems

Brakes have screeching noise Transmission jumps when changing gear The shift to park is so constant can not even go out because it takes more than 20 to 30 tries for it to accept park and turn Vehicle off! I have taken it to the dealer for the concern stated no recall or warranty At this point I am afraid to even leave it in shift to park and walk to the store and it gets stolen or leaves me stranded with my children

I was driving to work at 0530 on 11/10/24. I was on the highway driving the speed limit. A light came on that read "service ESC". Within 2 minutes of this light coming on, I heard a loud noise and the tail end of my car started to spin out. My power steering went out, my brakes did not work and I hit the guard rail very hard. The "electronic stability control" system in my car, turned off on me with only a minute warning, and almost killed me. My car was totaled and deemed a complete loss. Any advice would be appreciated.

Months ago I was driving, my 2020 traverse I hit the brakes and I heard a weird grinding noise & my car started wobbling, I figured I needed my brakes pads changed, I took it to Waldorf Chevy they looked at the brakes and told me everything was good I didn’t need pads and everything was ok, they said sometimes the pads get dust on them causing them to squeak, and wobble, i had the front pads replace at a local shop they also looked at the back brakes and said the back pads were good, sometime later I was heading to work I stopped at a gas station and the car wouldn’t start. On the Chevy app it said my antilock brake system and stability control needs serviced which was weird it gave no warning I had it diagnosed the mechanic said the engine seized I towed it to another shop they said the same thing I towed it to Chevy they insisted it was the battery I told them it was the engine, they later said the engine seized but not before charging me $500 for a diagnostic, $371 battery plate. I got oil changes regularly and often did preventive maintenance.

THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. NO MEDICAL TREATMENT WAS NEEDED AT THE SCENE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A IMPOUND WHERE THEN THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED WHERE THEY PLAN TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE LOCAL DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.

BRAKE FAILURE ON A 2 DAY OLD CHEVY TRAVERSE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS . . . 1.I PURCHASED A CHEVROLET TRAVERSE FROM LAWRENCE CHEVROLET ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2020 AND TOOK DELIVERY AT ABOUT 5:00PM. 2.WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 16, 2020, WE EXPERIENCED A LOW SPEED BRAKE FAILURE. THIS OCCURRED WHILE ON THE WAY TO DULLES AIRPORT AT ABOUT 6:00PM. THE BRAKES WERE SLOWLY APPLIED AND THEY DID NOT RESPOND. THE BRAKES WERE THEN PRESSED HARD AND THEY DID NOT RESPOND. I (MIKE) REACHED OVER TO TRY SHIFTING THE CAR INTO PARK BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL AND THE CAR DRIFTED AT A VERY LOW SPEED, 'A WALKING SPEED,' AND INTO THE BACK OF A TRACTOR TRAILER.
