Recalls, owner-reported complaints, investigations and safety data

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Safety recallsA safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.

InvestigationsNHTSA opens an investigation to examine whether a safety defect may exist. An open investigation is not a determination that a defect exists, and many investigations close without a recall. Investigations can, however, lead to one.
0
Crash or fire reportedComplaints whose submitter recorded that a crash or a fire occurred. These are the reporter's own answers on the NHTSA form, not verified findings.

Gasoline is leaking from the generator.. Delivery of this brand new unit was taken on 6-28-2023 .. Driven from Jacksonville Fl to my driveway in Mount Dora, FL .. A 2 hour drive .. On Sunday 7-2-2023, my wife started the generator to configure the Wi-Fi .. Fortunately I was standing by the side door and heard a liquid noise from under the vehicle .. Looked under to see and smell gasoline pouring from the generator .. NOT DRIPPING, POURING OUT.. Under pressure .. Using the internet, I found a known NTHSA recall on these models from Cummins ! Forest River was notified .. My model was on the recall , maybe .. Verbally told that on 7-3-2023 .. How this didn’t get fixed or even looked at is unbelievable .. I notified Cummins of this and was told my particular model is NOT part of the recall ?.. However , the leaking of fuel is the exact same problem .. The Coachman is sitting at a Cummins Service Facility in Orlando ..

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA; VISIBILITY

You may intermittently experience a rear camera blue or black image on the SYNC screen when the vehicle is placed in reverse or when the 360-degree view is selected and available (during low-speed operation). Once displayed, the rear camera blue or black image may persist for the remainder of the ignition ON cycle. Once present, the issue is likely to reoccur on subsequent key cycles. See attachment for further information. The loss of the rear camera image, while in reverse, increases the risk of a crash. This is per Ford Recall Campaign 23V598.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:REFRIGERATOR

According to a Furrion TSB "TB-220919": Irregular cooling performance has been reported on the identified refrigerators. The refrigerator compressor has been found to stop working and requires a “hard reset” by disconnecting power to reset cooling operation. On occasion, disconnecting power does not reset operation and the refrigerator requires service replacement of the control boards. This TSB may not be applicable for some vehicles.

Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
