The defect: Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2020 Coachmen Beyond, 2017-2019 Coachmen CrossFit, and 2016-2020 Galleria motorhomes. The awning may deploy while the vehicle is moving.
The risk: An awning that deploys while the vehicle is moving increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a circuit interrupter, free of charge. This recall began September 23, 2020. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-6310. Forest Rivers's number for this recall is 225-1217.

The defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Coachmen Galleria recreational vehicles, manufactured October 27, 2015, through August 31, 2016. The affected vehicles have an incorrect Cargo Carrying Capacity Federal placard indicating two seat-belted locations when the vehicle has up to five additional designated seating areas, causing the cargo capacity listed to be inaccurate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
The risk: The incorrect cargo capacity information may result in the vehicle being overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will adhere a corrected Federal Placard, free of charge. The recall began on November 18, 2016. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8628. Forest River's number for this recall is 225-10062016-0253.

The defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016 Coachmen Galleria motorhomes manufactured from October 30, 2015, through February 15, 2016. The Federal Placards on the affected vehicles incorrectly lists the number of seatbelts as zero. Additionally, the placards did not factor in the fresh water capacity in the vehicle weight calculation and the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is missing from the label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
The risk: Without the GVWR listed on the label, the operator may overload the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a corrected Federal Placard, free of charge. The recall began on March 3, 2016. Owners may contact Forest River customer service 1-574-825-8628. Forest River's number for this recall is 225-02102016-0134.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 COACHMEN GALLERIA. WITHIN MONTHS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED SPARKS COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER, INSPECTED UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE, AND NOTICED THAT THE STRAPS FOR THE WATER TANK WERE FRACTURED AND WERE DRAGGING ON THE ROADWAY, CAUSING THE SPARKS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HOLIDAY WORLD OF KATY (28909 KATY FWY, KATY, TX 77494, (281) 371-7200) WHO STATED THAT THE STRAPS FRACTURED DUE TO RUST AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM FROM THE DEALER IF THEY WOULD SERVICE THE VEHICLE UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING ON A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO DETERMINE A PERMANENT REMEDY. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,000.

As per Mercedes Interim Recall Notice 21V042, one or more of the rear-wheel speed sensors may experience an electrical failure, which potentially could lead to a disablement of the Electronic Stability Control control unit functions. If ESP control unit functions are disabled, vehicle driving stability may be impacted under certain driving conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.

Mercedes-Benz USA is extending the warranty of the exhaust gas recirculation (“EGR”) valve for the affected vehicles to a total of 11 years / 120,000 miles from the vehicle’s original New Vehicle Limited Warranty start date. This addendum to the EGR valve coverage applies to the vehicle regardless of ownership.

According to the Technical Service Bulletin released by Carefree of Colorado; "It has been recently reported in a few instances that the awning extends during travel. This can be caused by the wiring being reversed causing the auto-retract system to extend the awning from a closed position."
