The defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Dynamax Isata Class 3 and Class 5 motorhomes, 2021 Coachmen Sportscoach, 2020 Coachmen Pursuit, and 2017, 2020-2021 Coachmen Freelander motorhomes. The service valves on the LPG tanks may be improperly connected, which can cause a propane leak.
The risk: A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the service valves, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 2, 2022. Owner may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-262-3474 (Dynamax), 1-574-825-8212 (Sportscoach and Pursuit), and 1-574-825-8602 (Freelander). The defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Coachmen Sportscoach motorhomes. The outdoor cooktop can be stowed with the propane hose connected.
The risk: A stowed cooktop with the propane still connected can increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Dealers will move the quick disconnect and install a new shorter LP supply hose, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 21, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8212. Forest River's number for this recall is 310-1418.

The defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Coachmen Cross Country, 2015 Coachmen Encore, 2016-2020 Coachmen Mirada, 2018-2021 Coachmen Sportscoach, 2019-2021 Forest River Berkshire, 2011-2016 Forest River Blue Ridge, 2014-2019 Forest River Cardinal, 2014-2020 Forest River Cedar Creek, 2014-2021 Forest River Georgetown, 2019 Forest River Legacy, and 2017-2018 Forest River Riverstone recreational vehicles equipped with Hehr 6400 Series windows. The adhesive that bonds the vented portion of the window may fail.
The risk: Adhesive failure may cause the vent portion of the window to detach, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect the windows, and replace the vent if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 2, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8600. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-1380.

The contact owns a 2021 Coachmen Sportscoach built on a 2021 Freightliner XC-S Chassis. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel became inoperable and turned blank. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the Viper module had failed and needed to be replaced. The RV was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

The front display screen has started to delaminate, causing bubbles to appear and blocking the view of the instrument panel. You can not see your speed or any other information on the display.

The contact owns a 2021 Coachman Sportscoach. The contact stated that while driving an abnormal noise was heard coming from the rear wheels. The selling dealer was contacted and stated that the issue was a Freightliner issue. The vehicle was taken to a Freightliner dealer that did not diagnose the failure. The contact stated that the failure continued. The recreational vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure as the brake drums and the S-cam. The recreational vehicle was repaired. The manufacturers' Coachman and Freightliner were notified of the failure. The contact stated that a case was opened with Freightliner who advised that the brakes were not covered under a warranty as the contact did not have an actual failure with the brakes. The failure mileage was 2,338. Vehicle has been reviewed and updated. Invalid Vin.

Damage to the tire’s valve stem may lead to loss of air pressure, which, if unnoticed, could lead to a flat tire or on dual-wheels an overloaded tire. In extreme situations, rapid loss of tire pressure could increase the risk of a crash. Operators may identify an audible rattling noise from the stem extension rubbing against the wheel opening while driving. Visual inspection during inspection or during maintenance may reveal stabilizer is dislocated, damage to the stem extension, or the rim, and low tire pressure of the inner tire.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA), on behalf of its wholly owned subsidiary, Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, is initiating Field Service Campaign SF637A to modify specific model year 2021 Freightliner Custom Chassis manufactured September 17, 2019 through April 7, 2021. In a low voltage condition, the IP display may not come on when turning on ignition leaving drivers without a functioning instrument panel. This would only occur at startup and the instrument panel would function again if the key is cycled with normal voltage. The software will be updated to resolve the issue.

As per Field Service Notice SF617A, certain chassis have a shift actuator that may not downshift when requested.
