Lionshead castle rock ST225/75 R15 passenger side front tandem axle tire blew on our 2021 forest rive east to west alta travel trailer while traveling in the middle lane on interstate 95 in Florida, 45 minutes into our trip. We have only put approximately 3,700 miles on these tires. There was nothing in the road, all proper maintenance has been conducted including tire checks and with proper air pressure maintenance prior to each trip. When the tire blew we heard a loud sound and immediately changed lanes and pulled off onto the shoulder. The tire is almost completely missing the center tread as though it were shaved off, then on one part the tire split from rim to rim and has metallic fiber shredding almost resembling hay sticking out. In the process it ripped the skirting or apron off the trailer from front door to back door leaving the anchors bent and hanging. Ww had two passengers in the truck towing the trailer and were now stranded on the side of one of the busiest roadways in florida during rush hour as the sun went down. The tire rod that came with the trailer for the tires bent each time we tried to even loosen the tire so it was completely useless. We got the spare tire on after having tools brought to us putting another vehicle and passenger at risk. These tires are not safe for traveling and gave since read numerous other stories very similar to ours. This issue needs to be investigated as we now feel that we need to replace all 4 tires and the spare prior to our next trip not to mention we now also have damage to our trailer that is less than 2 years old.
