This diagnostic code B00C0-11 Passenger Seat Occupant Classification Sensor A - Circuit Short to Ground - Not Current DTC came up when I took it to the transmission service center for another issue. I was not aware of this until then. I bought this car about 4 months ago from a private owner who did not disclose this issue either.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact stated that upon entering an intersection with a green light, the contact crashed into another oncoming vehicle at approximately 30 MPH. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. No medical attention was rendered at the scene of the accident. The contact later sought medical attention from a doctor and received an MRI scan for both shoulders. The contact received cortisone shots for pain in both shoulders and sought physical therapy treatment for both shoulders. The other driver did not report any injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was initially towed to an independent mechanic where it was later placed in the possession of the contact's insurance company. Both the dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure; the contact was given a case number by the manufacturer. The vehicle was destroyed as a result of the accident. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
It’s a 2015 ford focus 1.0 eco boost 6 speed manual. It studders and shakes and stalls at random while driving. It only has 78000 miles on it and I just bought this car from some punk kid. Shakes the car violently as well.
I was in a vehicle crash in my 2015 Ford focus none of my airbags deployed. My seatbelt did not lock and my driver seat they came sideways.
This car was involved in an accident recently. Car was totaled in the accident. Car hydroplaned during rain and hit another car on interstate. Air bags FAILED to deploy during accident. Car is available for inspection if needed. This could have been a fatal crash without air bag deployment. Car is currently being inspected by insurance company. Police were at the accident scene. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms that anything was wrong with air bags. There are no current recalls for air bags according to Ford manufacturer. Ford manufacturer was contacted regarding issue and they stated that they won't do anything about it, they won't look at car or investigate, only to follow up with our insurance company.

THE CONTACT STATED WHILE HER DAUGHTER WAS AT A STAND STILL FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT, WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE REAR ENDED HER, WHICH FORCED HER TO AND COLLIDE INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HER. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER HIT HER HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND HAD A MILD CONCUSSION. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED A FRACTURED NOSE WHEN SHE HIT THE DASHBOARD. THE DRIVER SEEKED MEDICAL ATTENTION THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE CONTACT WAS NOT FULLING AWARE IF THE FRONT PASSENGER SOUGHT MEDICAL ATTENTION FOR HER INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO INSURANCE COMPANY LOT. THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER DEEMED THE VEHICLE WAS LOSS. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HER SON SUSTAINED INJURES TO THE CHEST AND RIGHT LEG THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION AS WELL AS A CHILD PASSENGER IN THE JEEP WAS TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE TO THE HOSPITAL. MAJOR ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. IN MOTION GOING STRAIGHT UNTIL THE TRUCK HIT THE CAR.
MY TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN GIVING ME A HARD TIME AND IT DOESN'T GET ANY POWER. IT ALSO RUNS VERY ROUGH. I HAVE TO TRAVEL 45 MINUTES TO A MOTOR COMPANY BUT THEY DON'T FIX IT BECAUSE IT'S A "TAKATA RECALL" I DON'T WANT TO GET STRANDED AND BROKEN DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY. I NEED A DEPENDABLE CAR BECAUSE I'M DISABLED. I WANT MY CAR FIXED OR A NEW ONE ASAP. I NOTICED THE PROBLEMS WHEN I WAS DRIVING IT IN MOTION RIGHT AS SOON AS I PURCHASED IT ON 10/2016 IN CITY LIMITS.

OCTOBER 15 2015 I BOUGHT A FORD FOCUS 2015 S 4DR FROM THE DEALERSHIP. RIGHT AWAY HAD ISSUES WITH IT STALLING AND SHORTING OUT THE COMPUTER AND KEEPING A CHARGE. HOWEVER ON JANUARY 4TH 2018, I WAS SIDESWIPED GOING 45 MPH AND COLLIDED INTO A TREE AND A FEW OTHER VEHICHLES ALSO. I SUSTAINED SERIOUS INJURIES DUE TO NONE OF MY AIRBAGS DEPLOYING. THE CAR WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS AND I STILL AM PAYING ON THIS VEHICLE. IVE NOTICED MANY SIMILAR MODELS HAVING SIMILAR CONCERNS, HOWEVER MY SPECIFIC VIN STATES ITS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY RECALLS.
GAS GADGET (AND MILES) WILL READ 1/2 TANK (200 OR SO MILE) AND WITH NO WARNINGS STALL (TURN OFF) EVEN ONCE PUTTING GAS IN VEHICLE HARD TO GET IT STARTED!ALSO AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON (MOST THE TIME) ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR HAS TO BE "SLAMMED" OR CLOSED HARD IN ORDER TO LATCH. I BOUGHT THIS CAR AS FIRST OWNER IN 2015! VERY DISAPPOINTED! I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE TURN OFF ON ME AT LEAST 5 TIMES EVEN WITH MY DISABLE SON WITH ME, I COULD HAVE BEEN HIT AND WE COULD'VE BEEN HURT OR WORSE!
I OWN A 2015 FORD FOCUS AND A 2016 FORD FOCUS BOTH WERE IN AN ACCIDENT. THE 2015 FORD FOCUS WAS T-BONED. I GOT INJURED AND THERE WAS NO DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIR BAGS. THE 2016 FORD FOCUS WAS REAR - ENDED AND I SUSTAINED ADDITIONAL INJURIES AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY EITHER. THE T-BONE I WAS ENTERING THE INTERSECTION ON A GREEN LIGHT. THE 2016 I WAS STOPPED AND A CAR IN FRONT OF ME MAKING A LEFT TURN WHEN SOMEONE SLAMMED INTO ME DOING 35 MILES PER HOUR. BOTH TIMES NEITHER AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE 2015 SUSTAINED OVER 10,000 IN DAMAGE IT IS THE RED VEHICLE HAD A BROKEN TIE ROD AS WELL AS INJURIES.
AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MILES AND HOUR GOING THRU A GREEN LIGHT I WAS CUT OFF BY SOMEONE MAKING A LEFT IN FRONT OF ME. 9600$ WORTH OF FRONT END DAMAGE AND THE PASSENGER HIT HER HEAD CAUSING A CONCISION AND SPRAINED NECK AND BACK, WEARING HER SEATBELT, I BELIEVE HER INJURIES HAPPENED BECAUSE NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED
