2007 Ford Freestyle Body & structure Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the body or structure system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Body & structure reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Under carriage is completely rotten floor boards ,shock mounts, rear frame. Garage on lunenburg st.in Fitchburg,MA said that it was so rotten that he couldn't find a safe spot to put the car on the lift to do exhaust work. Put in a complaint in Sept 2023 with NHTSA ID number 11544728. I explained to them that I had contacted Ford Motor Co. and Ford didn't want to hear it. This car is problematic.Transmission does not shift properly. This vehicle never had a recall. There is dozens of consumer complaints. This vehicle is a hazard on the road and is very expensive to repair. Under carriage is unrepairable making this vehicle junk.

OUR CAR WAS QUITE NEW. MY DAUGHTERS AND I WERE IN THE CAR AT A STOP LIGHT. SOMEONE WAS IN FRONT OF ME AT THE TIME AND THEY WERE MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN. WHEN I WAS SLIGHTLY ROLLING FORWARD I APPLIED PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE AND MY CAR JUMPED OR LUNGED FORWARD-CAUSING AN ACCIDENT WITH 4 KIDS AND 2 ADULTS INVOLVED. THIS IS THE FIRST OF MANY INCIDENTS WITH MY CAR PROACTIVELY MOVING. *TR

2007 FORD FREESTYLE CAR RIDDLED WITH MOLD FROM CONSTANT WATER LEAKS EVERYWHERE IN THE BODY FRAME. NEVER BEEN IN ACCIDENT, OUT OF WARRANTY. I'M 3 MONTHS PREGNANT WITH A 2 YR OLD. I CAN NOT EVEN DRIVE CAR MAKES ME SICK. DEALER WANTS ALOT OF MONEY TO TRY AND FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT CONSIDERING THE MOLD IS EVERYWHERE I'M NOT SO SURE IT WILL SOLVE PROBLEM, I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR 10 MONTHS AND PAID 17,500 FOR IT. IT IS CLEARLY A DESIGN FLAW I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. IT IS A HUGE HEALTH ISSUE, AND I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND WHY FORD HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. *TR
