The contact owns a 2015 Ford C-Max Hybrid. The contact stated that while her son was driving 25 MPH, the brake warning light and the traction control warning light illuminated. Additionally, while the contact's husband was driving, the driver’s side rear brake seized, and there was smoke coming from the brakes. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the passenger’s side brakes were defective, and the brake calipers were replaced. The mechanic was initially unable to unlock the seized brakes. The contact stated that while driving into the driveway, several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle made an abnormal sound. The vehicle was taken back to the mechanic, and it was determined that the ABS module had failed.
