The contact owns a 2015 Ford C-Max While reversing the camera became inoperable. No warning lights were illuminated. The local dealer was contacted but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford C-Max Hybrid. The contact stated that while her son was driving 25 MPH, the brake warning light and the traction control warning light illuminated. Additionally, while the contact's husband was driving, the driver’s side rear brake seized, and there was smoke coming from the brakes. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the passenger’s side brakes were defective, and the brake calipers were replaced. The mechanic was initially unable to unlock the seized brakes. The contact stated that while driving into the driveway, several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle made an abnormal sound. The vehicle was taken back to the mechanic, and it was determined that the ABS module had failed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with ABS module Part Number: MK 100 failure and that there was a bubble in the brake line. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that there were no related recalls on the VIN for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,230.

The dealer informed the contact that the rear-view camera could be replaced out-of-pocket, and the contact might be reimbursed by the manufacturer later. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was restarted, and the screen reappeared, but the failure reoccurred intermittently. EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN

Some 2013-2016 Fusion/MKZ/C-MAX vehicles equipped with an HF35 transmission and built on or before 15-Aug-2015 may exhibit a thumping/rubbing or grinding noise coming from the transmission. The noise may be present in all gear ranges including neutral when the vehicle is moving but will not be present when the vehicle is stationary or in park. This may be due to the differential side bearings and/or the transfer shaft and housing. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to install either a transfer shaft kit or a remanufactured transmission assembly.

SEATS; STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS:UNDERBODY SHIELDS

Some 2013-2018 C-Max, 2013-2020 Escape/Fusion/MKZ, 2015-2018 Focus,2015-2019 MKC, 2015-2020 Edge/F150/Mustang, 2016-2018 MKX, 2016-2019 Explorer, 2017-2020 F-Super Duty, 2018-2020 EcoSport/Expedition, 2019-2020 Ranger/Nautilus vehicles may experience seat pan looseness, lateral movement, or a clunk/thump noise on turns. This may be due to the seat pan track. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to install a reinforcement.

VISIBILITY; VISIBILITY:GLASS, SIDE/REAR

Some 2010-2020 vehicles may exhibit distorted glass with a subtle orange peel pattern or streaking etched into the surface. This is caused by hydrofluoric acid which is used in some car wash solutions as a cleaning agent. Hydrofluoric acid can attack the glass and cause visual distortion and/or discoloration on the outer surface which cannot be removed by further cleaning. If this type of distortion is found, inspect the area of the glass that is covered by the cowl and/or molding. The portion of glass that is covered by the cowl or molding will not be affected by the acid. Hydrofluoric acid damage is not a defect in material or workmanship and is not a warrantable condition.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

In some of the affected vehicles, the front control/display interface module (FCDIM) may have been unintentionally programmed for the European market instead of the North American market
