The defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2011, 2016-2019, 2021-2024 Rockport Work Trucks. The rear liftgate may have been installed without a U-bolt on the driver and passenger side, which can allow the liftgate to fall to the ground when loaded.
The risk: A liftgate that falls unexpectedly increases the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the U-bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 17, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-522-7599. Forest River's number for this recall is 65-1700.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INTEGRATED TRAILER BRAKE CONTROL

The defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Rockport work trucks. The trailer brake controller may have been incorrectly wired.
The risk: An incorrectly wired brake controller can result in a loss of brake function, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will rewire the trailer brake controller, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 24, 2023. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-327-2392. Forest River's number for this recall is 29-1639.

VISIBILITY/WIPER

According to FORD Recall # 26S24, 26V204: "One or both of your vehicle’s windshield wiper arms may become stripped or damaged. This damage may result in erratic wiper arm speed, an inoperable wiper arm and/or a wiper arm becoming detached from the vehicle. An improperly functioning wiper arm may impair driver vision, increasing the risk of a crash."

According to FORD Recall 26C10/26V104: "It is possible that the trailer module (TRM) may lose communication at vehicle start-up. If a TRM loss of communication occurs and a trailer is connected to the vehicle, trailer stop lamps and turn signal indicators will not function. Additionally, for trailers equipped with electronic trailer brakes, the trailer brakes will not function. This loss of communication can occur with-or-without a trailer connected to the vehicle and can only initiate at vehicle start-up. If this occurs, a “Trailer Brake Module Fault” notification will pop-up on the vehicle’s instrument panel cluster."

According to Ford Recall 25V793: "According to Ford’s records, the remedy software for Safety Recall 20S73 may not have been installed correctly during a prior dealership visit. Because the correct software may not have been installed on your vehicle, the underlying condition specified in Safety Recall 20S73 may still exist. On your vehicle, it may be possible that the engine cover insulation does not fully extend to the perimeter of the factory engine cover. This may result in elevated temperatures at certain areas of the engine cover surface in the passenger compartment on both driver and passenger sides. Direct and continuous contact with exposed skin at these locations may increase the risk of skin irritation and/or a minor burn.

If this occurs during a backing event, the rear-view image may be frozen, missing, or delayed. A frozen rear-view camera display image while in reverse can reduce the driver’s view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash."

According to Ford recall 25S75 / 25V455: "On your vehicle, it is possible to have a loss of fuel pressure and flow from the fuel tank due to fuel pump failure. This can cause a lack of fuel delivery to the engine and result in an engine stall while driving. Prior to fuel pump failure, you may experience poor engine performance (misfiring or running rough), a check engine light, or a reduction in engine power. Fuel pump failure is more likely to occur under low fuel or warm weather and hot fuel conditions in the fuel tank. An engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash."
