Complaints grouped by the component NHTSA recorded
Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.
No recalls in our database for this model year
That does not guarantee a specific vehicle is unaffected — recalls are issued against VINs, and new campaigns are announced regularly. Check a VIN on NHTSA.gov.

THE FUEL GAUGE SHOWS EMPTY WHEN THERE IS FUEL IN VEHICLE
THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR IS MALFUNCTIONING GIVING ME ERRONEOUS HIGH AND LOW READINGS. I NOTICED IN AUGUST 2011, GM ISSUED A SPECIAL COVERAGE FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM, HOWEVER IT WAS ONLY GOOD FOR 10 YEARS OR 120,000 MILES. MY ENVOY IS 11-1/2 YEARS OLD, BUT ONLY HAS APPROX. 87,500 MILES ON IT. SEEING THIS IS AN OBVIOUSLY SAFETY ISSUE WHICH HAS LED TO AT LEAST 1 KNOWN ACCIDENT, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANYWAY THAT YOU CAN HELP ME GET GM TO EXTEND THE COVERAGE TO MY ENVOY? MY ENVOY ALSO RECENTLY HAD A SPECIAL COVERAGE INITIATED FOR THE HEADLAMP DRIVER MODULE (HDM). I WAS ABLE TO GET THAT FIXED BECAUSE GM ISSUED THE COVERAGE FOR A TOTAL OF 12 YEARS AND 150,000 MILES. SO THE PRECEDENT HAS BEEN SET TO PROVIDE COVERAGE FOR A VEHICLE MY AGE. ANY HELP THAT YOU COULD PROVIDE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANK YOU. MISFIRE IN CYLINDER CAR CUT COMPLETELY OFF IN TRAFFIC IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU ACCELERATE LIKE ENTERING THE RAMP TO THE HIGHWAY AS YOU ACCELERATE ONTO THE HIGHWAY CAR WILL MISFIRE CUTTING OFF VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
FRONT HEADLIGHTS OUT. ALL OTHER LIGHTS WORKING.
OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. I COULD DRIVE A VERY SHORT DISTANCE BEFORE THE OIL PRESSURE WOULD FALL DOWN TO ZERO. THE OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND THEN STOP ENGINE.
BATTERY DYING EVERYDAY. PARASITIC DRAW FROM THE POWER SEAT.
HEADLAMPS AND FOG LAMPS FAILED WHILE OPERATING VEHICLE
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED DURING DRIVING AT NIGHT NEARLY CAUSING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. MANY LIVES COULD BE AFFECTED BECAUSE OF THIS WELL KNOWN DESIGN ISSUE NOT BEING ADDRESSED BY GMC. THERE IS A GMC RECALL FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM, BUT MY VEHICLE ISN'T INCLUDED. GMC NEEDS TO RE-EVALUATE THIS ISSUE AND INCLUDE MORE VEHICLES. THEY KNOW THE PROBLEM EXISTS AND SHOULD MAKE EFFORTS TO INCLUDE ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES. *TR

This service bulletin provides information for maintenance cleaning of the fuel injectors and gasoline detergent additive.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
