2000 ROAD KING FLHRI...STATOR COIL TOO WEAK FOR LOAD AND BURNS OUT. THE FUEL INJECTED MODEL WILL STOP WHEN THAT HAPPENS. VERY DANGEROUS IF HAPPENS IN TRAFFIC. I'VE BURNED OUT ONE, A FRIEND HAS BURNED OUT TWO IN THE SAME BIKE. HARLEY HAS A NEW STATOR THAT WILL HANDLE THE LOAD, BUT HAS NOT ISSUED ANY RECALL NOTICE, NOR HAVE I SEEN A TECHNICAL BULLETIN ON THE SUBJECT. *AK

Compare model years
Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
