9/22/2026- the car idle stop failed to restart at a intersection. 9/23/2026- the car did not start after stopping to get gas. I have not taken it to the dealer yet. Will do it as soon as I get a chance. When the idle stop fails the car shift into parking and only the accessories are on.

When traveling to multiple destinations, upon attempting to start the van, it will not start. This is also the case with the auto start/stop program. The van's engine will stop at dangerous locations, such as a busy traffic light, or at any other stop where the engine turns off. There were no warning lights, but the van would only start if tried multiple times. This is incredibly dangerous and nerve-wracking.

2025 Honda Odyssey experienced an Auto Idle Stop no-restart condition. While stopped at a traffic light, the Auto Idle Stop system shut the engine off, but the engine failed to restart when attempting to proceed. The vehicle was disabled at an intersection, creating a potential safety hazard.

The transmission has been having issues since it had 10 miles on it, it locks at certain speeds and wont go higher than 35, it misfires at lights, it will randomly make clunking sounds when driving and you can feel the vehicle throw you forward, ive taken it in multiple times, we have multiple cases open with Honda and they will not respond but it doesnt give any lights so dealership says they cant do anything even though theyve said they have felt it

This vehicle will randomly turn these features on and instead of keeping you in your lane pull you off the road, I have had to pull over to turn the vehicle off to get it to turn off

The vehicle will slam on its brakes with nothing around it. This has happened more times than I can count now and has almost caused us to wreck on multiple occasions

I am experiencing a serious and recurring safety issue involving the engine unexpectedly completely shutting off while the vehicle is being driven and separately, the engine intermittently failing to start after the vehicle has been parked. 1.The engine unexpectedly and spontaneously shuts off when the vehicle is stopped or slowing down, including at stop signs, traffic lights, and during traffic slowdowns. These events occur without warning or notice, and the vehicle does not reliably restart immediately. In nearly all instances, the engine has failed to restart for several minutes despite multiple attempts. This creates an extremely dangerous situation. When the engine shuts off unexpectedly in traffic, I am concerned that drivers behind me will not realize that my vehicle is experiencing a malfunction and may collide with my vehicle before I am able to restart it and safely move. These incidents cause me significant fear and stress each time they occur. I am not certain whether the vehicle’s Auto Start/Stop system is involved in these incidents or whether another component or system is malfunctioning. I am requesting that Honda and the dealership fully diagnose the cause rather than assuming that the behavior is normal operation of the Auto Start/Stop system. 2.Separately from the engine shutting off while driving, the vehicle also randomly and spontaneously fails to start after it has been parked. I have documented some of these incidents by video, including instances in which the engine failed to start. in which the engine failed to start despite multiple attempts. 3. As soon as these problems began, I took the vehicle to the service department of the dealership where I purchased it. At this point, the repeated engine shut-off and failure-to-restart conditions remain unresolved. I am requesting a thorough investigation and requesting that Honda identify the underlying cause of these failures and provide a permanent solution as soon as possible.

Engine failed to restart after turning off at idle at a stop. When releasing the brake the engine tried to turn on but stalled out. It is available for inspection upon request. No major safety concern, traffic behind the vehicle was prohibited from moving until the vehicle could be restarted. The failure has not been reproduced by a dealer or service center, or inspected by anyone else. There were no warning lights but after the failure a message displayed saying “To continue to drive, depress brake pedal and push switch”. The failure first appeared after 10,000 miles and occurred between 5-10 times since then.

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026 while sitting idle at a red light I had my foot on the brake and when the light turned green, I went to push on the gas and the van would not go, nearly causing the car behind me to rear end me because they figured I was going since it was a green light. I turned my hazard lights on, and there was a warning that appeared on the dash but I did not catch what it said in time. When I looked down, the car had put itself in park so I shut the van off and when I turned the van back on, there was a red battery light on the dash and it said “ to continue to drive depress brake pedal and push switch”. The van would not go into gear so I then had to call police (I was blocking a traffic lane) and a tow truck. The van is still at our local Honda dealer where it was purchased and to my knowledge has not been looked at-today is day three of the dealership having possession of the van. Also, on the same day-two stop lights previous to this it had a severe lag from brake to gas.

When I was at the set of lights my vehicle put itself in park and refused to go back in drive. The dashboard started to flash "shift to park" cars were honking at us people we screaming because we weren't driving when the light turned green. But my car refused to go back into drive. I had to shut it off and turn it back on. I had all my kids (5) in the car. I brought it to the dealership and they said that there was no code recorded. And because of that they couldn't do anything about it. Almost as if it didn't happen. Then it has recently happened two more times. I'm bringing my vehicle back in to the dealership, but they told me if it didn't record a code then they couldn't really do anything about it. It was of the scariest things to ever happen. 21

Noise coming from front driver side suspension or steering column/components. The noise is very light, but sounds like a clunking/rattle and can be felt through the steering wheel. It is intermittent. Because I am unsure what is actually causing the noise, I cannot state whether it is actually part of the suspension system or steering column area. The dealership cannot replicate the noise, so it has been turned away twice now. Does not feel safe. Searching other odyssey forums, it is something that is reproduced by others who have bought a 2025-2026 Honda odyssey.

1.The USB port not working in the center console 2.Battery was draining and it was struggling to start, died at lights and barely turned back on 3. Door sensor on passenger side kept saying it was open when it wasnt 4. Air barely working 5. Wind sound whipping through the driver side 6. Raining in to the vehicle on the passenger side 7. Screen barely works, sometimes it takes forever to turn on sometimes it just wont switch or load or it just stays on a black screen 8. After taking it for the who knows how many times for the popping sound they deemed the steering column unsafe to drive and replaced that and they had the vehicle for almost a month because they couldn't get the parts, in that time they even admitted they felt the transmission issues 9. Starter was replaced after complaining for months about it dying at lights or stops and it being rough to start 10. Popping sound from the axle when you go over anything or turn the wheel 11. Back passenger door wont shut it just keeps popping back open 12. Doors dont lock when you walk away 13. Passenger doors will unlock but driver side doesn't 14. The passenger door got stuck and we had to crawl through and push it open 15. Transmission gets stuck and wont go over 30 and the rpms go up but the speed doesn't move, it shifts hard and makes a thud sound, and the engine is crazy loud 16. Has a crazy vibration coming from it 17. Will brake on its own with nothing around it 18. Was switching to sport mode on its own in the middle of driving 19. The new steering column was getting stuck and acting up and it was trying to merge in to the other lane but lane assist off 0. We had an exhaust leak 21. Pieces of trim with vents broken inside 22. Pieces of trim falling off 23. Weather stripping for the passenger back door just fell off, still waiting on them to replace that 24. The fan is extremely loud 25. When putting in to park, or drive you have to really hit the buttons because they aren't switching easy

2025 Honda Odyssey - seems to have issue with auto-start auto-stop. Frequently, the minivan is unable to turn back on after it auto-turns off when stopped at a light or somewhere. Creates very dangerous situation because I am stuck as the driver, and the car is unresponsive. You have to put car in park, turn off the car, turn it back on, put in drive. People are honking and in one case we almost got hit because it was a stop around a turn and we couldn't move. I've checked for recall and it's not there. I'm taking it in to Honda dealer as soon as available. It's not everytime, but it's frequent. Probably happened 4 times in last two weeks.

While driving straight on the highway on a sunny day the car left the lane on it's own, resisted attempts to get it back into the lane, and crashed into the concrete barrier after we swerved around and the car bounced around. Lane keeping assistance and automatic cruise control were active. The lane lines looked perfectly fine. A couple minutes before the accident the car left the lane unexpectedly but we were able to get back into it. Before going on the trip we took the car to the dealer and complained about issues with the car not starting after it shut off while idle at stop lights, or not starting properly, like engaging the parking brake and getting stuck, or starting and rocketing forward even when I only pressed lightly on the gas, leading to loss of traction. They checked the car and said everything looks fine and the tires have 5mm of tread and don't need to be replaced, and they rotated the tires and changed the engine oil. I'm not sure if the issue was with the power steering failing, or traction being lost, or the sensors having an issue causing the car to think the lane was somewhere else and not letting us leave where it thought the lane was. Driver has tons of bruises still and it's been over a week. The other 4 passengers seem ok. The insurance company said the car is totaled and is taking possession of the car. The only warnings lights or messages the car gave us before the accident were about the car having an issue starting back up when all the cars were beeping behind us when the light turned green, and messages about loss of traction, mainly after the engine started back up.

The automatic door will not close. It will bounce back open like something is in the way when nothing is. You either have to turn that feature off and close it or you sit there hitting the button 40 times for it to finally decide to close. Has been happening for months and have brought it up to the dealership repeatedly. I have multiple videos of this issue

The contact owns a 2025 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that her husband had the rear drivers side door open while leaning halfway in to the vehicle when the door suddenly began to close unintentionally, the contacts husband began to frantically push on the door until it was dislodged from the channel. No warning lights were illuminated. The local dealer was contacted however the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.

Engine will fail to start when shut off to stop light or when shut off at anytime when engine is hot. Very dangerous situation. Acts like starter is dragging. There is a clunking in the steering column when making a turn mainly to the left that can be felt in the steering wheel. Driver seat is splitting open on the side. Keeps setting code p0441 for evap system..

The contact owns a 2025 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that after opening the electronic passenger side sliding door, the door failed to electronically close while pressing the close button. The contact exited the vehicle and manually closed the door. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 3,000.

The vehicle experiences abnormal vibration and shaking felt from the rear during braking at moderate to highway speeds. The condition does not occur during steady driving and is isolated to braking events. An authorized dealership inspected the vehicle and documented rear brake rotor thickness variation but no repair was performed. The issue has continued and raises concerns about braking stability and safety, especially at higher speeds.

Hand control device for disabled drivers is correctly installed under the stearing wheel and works as intended. However, device has several very sharp right angle and corner points that, in the event of a collision, the sharp (not rounded) areas would severely damage driver's knees.

Right side middle row seat belt does not detect when the seat belt is connected and beeps constantly on and off. Started happening right after the manufacturers warranty ended (36k miles).

When I am stopped at a red light, the auto shutoff is activated, and when I lift off the brake and try to accelerate forward at the green light, the vehicle stalls for about 15 seconds, leaving the driver and passengers vulnerable to a car accident. One of the passenger seatbelts triggers the "no seatbelt" alarm, even when the passenger is buckled. If no one is seated there, there is no alarm. This only happens when someone is seated there. In order to bypass the alarm sound, the passenger has to unbuckle and re-buckle so that the car knows that the passenger is seated. Once the car shifts after a turn or curved road, the alarm will sound again. During an average 20 minute car ride, it'll probably do this 5-6 times, depending on how many turns or curves there are on the route.

Back passenger side window broke while driving with no evident cause. Speed was between 25 and 35 mph, no other vehicles were present nearby, and no pedestrians were in the area.
