2007 INFINITI M Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Our database holds 3 NHTSA owner-reported complaints for the 2007 INFINITI M. Each one is a report filed by an owner or driver and published by NHTSA without most of them being verified. INFINITI M45 - 2007. WHEN THE DOORS ARE LOCKED, YOU CANNOT OPEN THE DOORS WITH THE HANDLE, UNLESS YOU PHYSICALLY UNLOCK THE DOORS FIRST. I BELIEVE IN AN EMERGENCY, AN OCCUPANT IN THE CAR COULD PANIC AND NOT GET OUT. THEY WOULD BELIEVE THEY ARE TRAPPED IN THE CAR. THE CAR DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY LOCK WHEN YOU PUT IT INTO GEAR OR START THE CAR, LIKE MOST OTHER MAKES. THIS POTENTIALLY COULD LEAD TO THIS VEHICLE BEING CARJACKED MORE THAN OTHERS, SINCE MANY PEOPLE FORGET TO LOCK THEIR DOORS.

I CONTACTED BBB BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO GET A SATISFACTORY RESOLUTION FROM INFINITI REGARDING MY SEAT MOVEMENT PROBLEM IN MY 2006 INFINITI M35. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON JANUARY 22, 2006 FROM GLENDALE INFINITI. BY MARCH I WAS ALREADY EXPERIENCING MOVEMENT WITH MY DRIVER'S SEAT WHEN ACCELERATING OR BRAKING. MOVEMENT IS LARGE ENOUGH TO CAUSE MY BODY TO LEAP FORWARD AND, ON OCCASION, CAUSE A SLIGHT BIT OF WHIPLASH. I BROUGHT IN MY VEHICLE MANY TIMES TO HAVE THIS REPAIRED. THEY REPLACED THE SEAT TRACK TWICE BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. NOW THEY ARE CLAIMING IT IS NORMAL OPERATION AND ARE REFUSING TO REPAIR IT. *JB

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
