Purchased vehicle in question on 9/11/25 as a lease through the local Jeep dealership near my residence. Sometime around 4/26 to 5/26 my vehicle started to display odd operational patterns which were brought to my local dealerships attention. The first event where I was able to record any type of documentation was around 5/25/26. While driving, the vehicle would suddenly go into "limp mode" and rapidly decrease speed. Several check engine lights would appear to include: Service Electronic Throttle Control, Service Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control and the standard CEL. When this does happen, the vehicle will decrease speed suddenly without warning and becomes difficult to operate until it is pulled over and parked. Vehicle has been to my local dealership several times (4) and out of service for over 70 days with the latest stay 30+ days. According to documentation from the dealership, the listed error/issue has been recreated on their end at least one time but no data was captured with that fail. My local Jeep dealership Service Manager (CF) replied to an email of mine (7/16/26 at 1703) with the following statement: Verified customer concern of check engine light on connect to wytec and found p2173 stored in powertrain control module. Also found c121c stored in ABS module. Believe ABS code is related to PCM code, cleared codes test drove multiple times. Finally able to get customer concern to duplicate but no data was captured on this failure. We are continuing to drive the vehicle while monitoring data to catch freeze frame data while concern occurs but have not been able to do so far at this time. The condition, when it occurs presents a serious safety concern for the driver and other drivers as it will cause a sever throttle limitation and can cause the vehicle to slow down rapidly. As of 8/9/26, no fix confirmed for my vehicle and the dealership and manufacture are pushing to return my vehicle with confirmed fix. Jeep case number 97378351

The 12-volt auxiliary battery and related electrical system in my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4XE plug-in hybrid (leased new 8/25/2025) repeatedly fail. The battery completely discharges after the vehicle sits plugged into a standard home charger, undisturbed, for several consecutive days, leaving the vehicle completely inoperable. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request and is currently at a dealership. Failures to date (5): 11/05/2025: found dead after charging; required jump start. No warning lamps or messages precede the discharge events; the vehicle is simply dead when approached. 01/26/2026: dead after charging; would not jump start; towed. Dealer replaced the 12V battery and performed recall 68C software. 04/27/2026: check engine light illuminated while driving and the vehicle became stuck in electric mode; it would not switch to hybrid, gas, or E-save despite attempts, and a restart did not resolve it; towed. Dealer could not reproduce the fault. 05/17/2026: dead after charging; towed. 12V battery replaced a second time (same part number) and media hub replaced; vehicle was dead again at dealer pickup. 06/13/2026: dead after charging (plugged in undisturbed 6/9 to 6/13); towed. Tow operator noted the rear tires dragged during loading. Dealer/manufacturer confirmation: dealers have observed and documented the dead-battery condition multiple times, including a vehicle dead at pickup, but no dealer has reproduced the underlying failure or confirmed a root cause across five repair visits and approximately 56 cumulative days out of service as of 7/6/2026. The manufacturer's customer care team is engaged; it suspects a parasitic electrical draw, and the dealer is awaiting specialized test equipment. No police or insurance inspection. While driving my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe in normal conditions, the vehicle unexpectedly loses electric drive power. Power is reduced in stages — to approximately 50%, then 25% — then electric mode is disabled and the dash displays "Electric Mode Temporarily Unavailable," after which the vehicle forces into hybrid operation after a delay. During the delay, the vehicle does not deliver the power requested by the accelerator. This has occurred at 41%, 73%, and 81% battery state of charge during normal driving, with no wide-open-throttle demand — conditions under which the manufacturer's specification states electric power should continue. This is a loss of drive power. The manufacturer's own recall A7C (NHTSA campaign 25V710000) identifies a software error that may result in loss of drive power in these vehicles, and states that a loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. My vehicle exhibits this condition but is not included in that recall population, which raises a question of whether the recall scope covers all affected vehicles. Safety risk: unexpected loss of drive power during normal driving — including when merging, crossing intersections, or pulling into traffic — creates a delay in which the vehicle does not respond to the accelerator as expected. Reproduced by the dealer: dealership service personnel personally experienced the loss of electric propulsion during a test drive, and the condition was also reproduced on a second 4xe vehicle at the dealership. In all cases, no diagnostic trouble codes were present, no repair was performed, and the vehicle was returned as "operating as designed." A neutral arbitrator in the manufacturer's warranty arbitration found that a nonconformity exists with a propulsion issue on the vehicle. The condition has not been properly diagnosed because I am unable to obtain the diagnostic measurement I have requested. Subsequent to the 68C recall software update, my vehicle is suffering from intermittent loss of acceleration. Even with a full charge of battery, when driving the 2025 jeep wrangler 4xe in EV mode, occasionally the car will shut of EV mode and transition to gas/hybrid mode. The problem is the vehicle changes from EV mode to gas/hybrid it can take 10 seconds. In the meantime there is no ability to accelerate. The pedal is dead. It occurred 4 times in random places. Once on a regular country road, Once straining on a steep hill Once merging with traffic on the highway The last time I drove it was when I lost acceleration while making a left hand turn on a busy intersection. It would have been a head on collision if the other driver hadn't slammed on their breaks. This was my last time with the vehicle and it has been sitting at the dealership since January. The dealership service department tells me Stellantis is not working on a fix for this issue, even though it is a serious safety defect. Since then I have been pursuing lemon law however this process is taking forever. They refused to provide a loaner car. I was renting a vehicle but it was too costly. I ultimately had to buy another vehicle, even thought I spent $70,000 on a brand new jeep that is sitting at a dealership. They claim no fault found. The dealership drove it a total of 10 miles in EV mode. No fault found. They are putting people in danger and making us QA test while they push out software updates that aren't tested in the real world. This vehicle is trying to kill me. It will either explode and burn down the house or cause a collision. They need to make this right. Please help.

Component/System Failure: The hybrid/electric propulsion system intermittently loses power while driving. Electric output is progressively reduced to approximately 50%, then 25%, and then fully disabled, even when sufficient battery charge remains. The condition appears to involve the hybrid control/electric drive system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. What Happened / Safety Risk: The loss of electric propulsion occurs unpredictably during normal operation, including both highway and city driving. The reduction in available power and sudden loss of electric functionality creates a potential safety concern, particularly when driving in traffic or at higher speeds, where reduced or inconsistent propulsion may impact the ability to maintain speed or respond to driving conditions. Additionally, the vehicle is subject to a high-voltage battery recall involving fire risk, which raises concern regarding safe operation and storage of the vehicle. Reproduction / Dealer Confirmation: The issue has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealership (Johnson Auto Plaza, Brighton, CO). The dealership also confirmed that the same issue was reproduced on another Jeep Wrangler 4xe vehicle on their lot. Inspection by Manufacturer / Others: The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership and escalated to Jeep Engineering. The manufacturer has been unable to diagnose the issue due to the absence of diagnostic codes and has not identified a repair. Warning Lamps / Messages / Symptoms: No consistent warning lamps or diagnostic codes are present when the failure occurs. The loss of electric functionality happens without a predictable pattern and without clear diagnostic indicators. Additional Notes: The issue occurs unpredictably under all normal driving conditions, including: Highway driving at speed City driving at low speed Various battery charge levels (low and high) The dealership has suggested possible driver-related causes; UNsupported by car behavior

Subject: Safety Complaint – 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Unexpectedly Shifted Into PARK While in Traffic Vehicle: 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Mileage at Time of Incident: 1300 Date of Incident: [XXX] Location: Ohio I am submitting this complaint to formally report a serious and dangerous safety defect involving my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. While approaching a red traffic light at normal driving speed, the vehicle suddenly and without any warning shifted itself into PARK. I did not press the park button, and no alerts or warnings were displayed prior to the event. The vehicle abruptly decelerated, leaving me momentarily without power in active traffic. I had to quickly react, restart, and shift back into gear. This incident was completely unexpected, and placed me and others at immediate risk of a rear-end collision. This behavior is unacceptable in a modern vehicle and represents a clear safety hazard, particularly in traffic conditions where sudden loss of propulsion can result in serious injury or death. There were no dashboard warnings, messages, or indications that the vehicle was about to enter PARK. The vehicle was functioning normally immediately before the incident. I am requesting: 1.A full investigation into this incident 2.Written documentation of any known defects, recalls, or software issues related to unintended gear shifts in the Wrangler 4xe 3.A permanent fix, not a temporary reset or software update without explanation 4.Documentation placed in my vehicle service record acknowledging this safety issue I am also submitting this complaint to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) due to the severity of the safety risk. This incident has caused me to lose confidence in the safety and reliability of this vehicle, and I expect this matter to be treated with urgency. The referenced vehicle "jerks/jolts" while driving. It was doing this when test driven on 7/31/25 and I was told by the salesman that this was normal even though he did not ask any questions about the jerking. On 8/1/25 I picked the vehicle up (leased). Because it had a cracked windshield, I again asked about the jerking and if it had any issues at all, and, again, I was told it was fine and nothing was wrong with it. The Jeep dealer serviced the vehicle x5 between 8/5-9/26/25 and was last in their service department from 9/3-9/26/25. The engine light has never been on and during the different service visits, an alignment was done, the valve cover gasket, oxygen sensor and valve body were replaced. No car accidents have occurred, however, because the "jerking/jolting" continued after the valve body was replaced, a lemon law case was requested and has been accepted.

I was driving on a very busy road and the vehicle lost power. I consider that my life was in danger because of me the traffic piled up and other drivers were furious with me. No matter what I tried, the car simply would not stop. AAA came and was unable to make the car start. It was towed to a dealership. Prior to this I already had two service visits related to the Start Stop warning light coming on in my dashboard. The first time, the service department claimed that they could not figure out what caused it, but they replaced the auxiliary battery that powers the start stop feature. Basically one day later, the start stop warning light came on again. I had to take it back to the dealership and they kept the vehicle for two days and I don't think anything was done. After the vehicle was returned to me, within days the warning light came on and then would go off and come back on sporadically. On the date of the complete power loss, the warning light came on in my dashboard about one hour before the power loss. So far, Jeep has said that they won't even be able to look at my vehicle for a week and it will probably take at least two weeks because they are short-staffed. I think I have a lemon.

Oct 10, 2025, I received an OTA update on my Jeep Wrangler. After the installation, I left my child's school on the way to dinner. Maybe a half mile into the drive, I received numerous warnings on the display screen and quickly after that, the vehicle lost all power. Hybrid system unavailable as well as the gas motor. Power steering, brakes and stability control also gone. Was able to get to the side of the road but it nearly stranded me on an elevated 2 lane road over a dam near Cherry Creek Reservoir in Greenwood Village, CO. Was able to reset the system after some troubleshooting and limp the vehicle home. Made an appointment and took it in for service the following Tuesday. The dealer has tried to remedy the situation but ran into the same loss of power after another update. I do not trust this vehicle with the safety of my family in mind. Jeep/Stellantis has yet to notify it's customers of this potential safety hazard nor have they communicated/acknowledged it publicly to raise awareness. It could save lives and something needs to be done. There are hundreds if not thousands of impacted owners and some might not even know yet. Unacceptable for Jeep, Stellantis and quite frankly... the NHTSA.... for not taking the appropriate steps to prevent potential accidents. Your entire mission is safety and not a peep from any party.

On 10/10/25, my 2025 Jeep received an over-the-air (OTA) software update intended for the Uconnect infotainment system. Following the update, the vehicle experienced a complete powertrain failure. It became undrivable, shut off entirely, and refused to shift out of park. This occurred without warning and posed a serious safety risk, especially had it happened while driving. The issue appears to be related to the hybrid control module, which was affected by the software update. The vehicle displayed multiple warning lights and fault codes (including Service Hybrid Drive System). I had to contact roadside assistance and have the vehicle towed to a dealership. Jeep has since acknowledged the issue and pulled the update, but I am concerned about the potential for permanent damage to the powertrain and the safety implications of such a failure. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this matter to ensure proper accountability and prevent similar incidents for other owners.

While driving I suddenly lost power and the vehicle came to an abrupt and suddenly stopped. The check engine light came on after it abruptly stopped. Jeep is now aware of this issue happening to multiple cars and has not made any attempts to notify us that our vehicle is not safe to drive.
