Purchased vehicle in question on 9/11/25 as a lease through the local Jeep dealership near my residence. Sometime around 4/26 to 5/26 my vehicle started to display odd operational patterns which were brought to my local dealerships attention. The first event where I was able to record any type of documentation was around 5/25/26. While driving, the vehicle would suddenly go into "limp mode" and rapidly decrease speed. Several check engine lights would appear to include: Service Electronic Throttle Control, Service Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control and the standard CEL. When this does happen, the vehicle will decrease speed suddenly without warning and becomes difficult to operate until it is pulled over and parked. Vehicle has been to my local dealership several times (4) and out of service for over 70 days with the latest stay 30+ days. According to documentation from the dealership, the listed error/issue has been recreated on their end at least one time but no data was captured with that fail. My local Jeep dealership Service Manager (CF) replied to an email of mine (7/16/26 at 1703) with the following statement: Verified customer concern of check engine light on connect to wytec and found p2173 stored in powertrain control module. Also found c121c stored in ABS module. Believe ABS code is related to PCM code, cleared codes test drove multiple times. Finally able to get customer concern to duplicate but no data was captured on this failure. We are continuing to drive the vehicle while monitoring data to catch freeze frame data while concern occurs but have not been able to do so far at this time. The condition, when it occurs presents a serious safety concern for the driver and other drivers as it will cause a sever throttle limitation and can cause the vehicle to slow down rapidly. As of 8/9/26, no fix confirmed for my vehicle and the dealership and manufacture are pushing to return my vehicle with confirmed fix. Jeep case number 97378351
As I was driving a service electronic stability control came up on my dash and I lost control of the vehicle. The brakes did not work and it was hard to steer. I almost hit a vehicle and the Jeep kept rolling until it stopped. Then I received an alert that the brakes did system, anti lock brake system, and Electronic Stability System failure. This is very scary my vehicle is a lease and they say they are fixing it but I’m very scared I will lose control of my Jeep while I’m driving.

The 12-volt auxiliary battery and related electrical system in my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4XE plug-in hybrid (leased new 8/25/2025) repeatedly fail. The battery completely discharges after the vehicle sits plugged into a standard home charger, undisturbed, for several consecutive days, leaving the vehicle completely inoperable. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request and is currently at a dealership. Failures to date (5): 11/05/2025: found dead after charging; required jump start. No warning lamps or messages precede the discharge events; the vehicle is simply dead when approached. 01/26/2026: dead after charging; would not jump start; towed. Dealer replaced the 12V battery and performed recall 68C software. 04/27/2026: check engine light illuminated while driving and the vehicle became stuck in electric mode; it would not switch to hybrid, gas, or E-save despite attempts, and a restart did not resolve it; towed. Dealer could not reproduce the fault. 05/17/2026: dead after charging; towed. 12V battery replaced a second time (same part number) and media hub replaced; vehicle was dead again at dealer pickup. 06/13/2026: dead after charging (plugged in undisturbed 6/9 to 6/13); towed. Tow operator noted the rear tires dragged during loading. Dealer/manufacturer confirmation: dealers have observed and documented the dead-battery condition multiple times, including a vehicle dead at pickup, but no dealer has reproduced the underlying failure or confirmed a root cause across five repair visits and approximately 56 cumulative days out of service as of 7/6/2026. The manufacturer's customer care team is engaged; it suspects a parasitic electrical draw, and the dealer is awaiting specialized test equipment. No police or insurance inspection. Safety risk: inability to leave electric mode while driving with the check engine light active; repeated complete electrical failures stranding occupants; an undiagnosed electrical draw in a plug-in hybrid that charges overnigh

While driving my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe in normal conditions, the vehicle unexpectedly loses electric drive power. Power is reduced in stages — to approximately 50%, then 25% — then electric mode is disabled and the dash displays "Electric Mode Temporarily Unavailable," after which the vehicle forces into hybrid operation after a delay. During the delay, the vehicle does not deliver the power requested by the accelerator. This has occurred at 41%, 73%, and 81% battery state of charge during normal driving, with no wide-open-throttle demand — conditions under which the manufacturer's specification states electric power should continue. This is a loss of drive power. The manufacturer's own recall A7C (NHTSA campaign 25V710000) identifies a software error that may result in loss of drive power in these vehicles, and states that a loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. My vehicle exhibits this condition but is not included in that recall population, which raises a question of whether the recall scope covers all affected vehicles. Safety risk: unexpected loss of drive power during normal driving — including when merging, crossing intersections, or pulling into traffic — creates a delay in which the vehicle does not respond to the accelerator as expected. Reproduced by the dealer: dealership service personnel personally experienced the loss of electric propulsion during a test drive, and the condition was also reproduced on a second 4xe vehicle at the dealership. In all cases, no diagnostic trouble codes were present, no repair was performed, and the vehicle was returned as "operating as designed." A neutral arbitrator in the manufacturer's warranty arbitration found that a nonconformity exists with a propulsion issue on the vehicle. The condition has not been properly diagnosed because I am unable to obtain the diagnostic measurement I have requested. The manufacturer's case manager has stated that warranty coverage for diagnostic testing cannot be confirmed
When driving on the highway the jeep would not accelerate. At about 60mph no matter how far I pushed the petal down it would only maintain speed. It happened again going much slower on local streets.

On June 1, 2026, software update 68C was performed at the dealership on my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. On June 6, 2026, at approximately 9:00 a.m., after driving the vehicle for about 25 minutes, I experienced a serious malfunction. While making a turn at a speed of less than 10 mph, the vehicle suddenly and without warning lost throttle and propulsion. It appeared to hesitate as though shifting between electric and gasoline power, and then abruptly and erratically lurched forward, accelerating to what felt like maximum speed. The Jeep struck a chain-link fence, which slowed its movement, but it continued to surge forward. I applied the brakes and attempted to maintain control of the vehicle, but it kept lurching ahead. At no point did the vehicle emit a safety warning, sound an alert, or attempt to stop automatically, even though it normally responds to obstacles when operating properly. I repeatedly attempted to place the vehicle in reverse, but it did not respond. I turned the engine off and back on several times, and only after more than three attempts did the vehicle finally recognize reverse, allowing me to back away from the fence. A man in a truck assisted me and contacted the police. Both the responding police officer and the assisting individual expressed concern about the potential danger, particularly because the vehicle is a 4xe. I am now extremely hesitant and fearful to operate or move the vehicle. The vehicle is available for inspection and has not been inspected yet by dealership or insurance. I have it parked outside of my residence.
We were at a complete stop, with foot on break when my jeep lunged forward twice , second lunge hit the vehicle in front of me, also that car was at a complete stop. It has lunged 2 other times while at a complete stop .

Windshield spontaneously cracked from lower edge in an arc back to lower edge. No impact. No debris. Gorilla glass with electronics.
Driving home from dealership and window cracked. Thees Jeeps have Coring Gorilla Glass. There is definitely a defect in the glass with only 42 miles on the jeep and the windshield cracks

As I was driving a service electronic stability control came up on my dash and I lost control of the vehicle. The brakes did not work and it was hard to steer. I almost hit a vehicle and the Jeep kept rolling until it stopped. Then I received an alert that the brakes did system, anti lock brake system, and Electronic Stability System failure. Engine surge while braking. New 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with 450 miles. V-6 engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. No modifications. Autonomous braking. Came to a traffic circle with yield sign. Slowed by braking for vehicle on right to enter traffic circle. The engine suddenly surged, began bucking as I depressed the brake further, and entered the traffic circle, just barely missing the vehicle to the right. One wheel (not sure which) began skidding as if the ABS had come one. I pulled over, shut the Jeep down and restarted. Problem did not recur. I tested pushing the brake while using the accelerator and the brake easily held the vehicle in stop. I am certain I did not "accidentally step on both the accelerator and brake at the same time." An hour later I took the vehicle into the Service Department of the local Jeep dealer. They did not run a diagnostic but said that there were various possible caused but had not seen it on Jeeps they had serviced. I looked on the various Jeep chatrooms on line and discovered that many people had had the identical problem over the last 5 years. Some say they reported it to NHTSA. This is likely a software or computer issue and is extremely dangerous. It needs to be addressed by the manufacturer It was only by sheer luck I did not hit the right-of-way vehicle Thank you for your interest.

Vehicle completely shut down, lost all engine power and power steering while driving in the middle of traffic, completely blocked an intersection. Had to restart vehicle.
I am writing to formally notify you of a serious issue I am experiencing with my recently purchased 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X , purchased on 17 June 2025 from your dealership. Just two weeks after taking delivery of the vehicle, I encountered a major electrical malfunction that rendered the car unsafe and undrivable. While driving, I received an alarming safety message on the dashboard stating: "For safety reasons, please park the vehicle. It will shut off automatically." Shortly after, multiple critical warnings appeared, including: Check Engine light illuminated Gear indicator began blinking Transmission failed to shift properly Loss of acceleration control and other electronic functions This sudden failure occurred without any prior warning and has caused significant inconvenience, as well as concern regarding the vehicle’s reliability and safety—especially considering it is a brand-new car with only approximately [insert mileage] miles on it. I am requesting a prompt investigation into this issue and an explanation regarding the cause of the failure. I would also appreciate immediate support in resolving this matter, including warranty service, temporary transportation arrangements, and a clear action plan moving forward. Please confirm receipt of this message and advise on the next steps. I look forward to a swift and responsible resolution to this matter.

I rented a Jeep Wrangler from Enterprise in Kingston, NY. While driving on the highway, my 12-year-old daughter pulled a lever in the passenger seat, and the roof panel detached and flew onto the road. There were no warnings, no instructions, and no disclosure from Enterprise. This posed an extreme danger to drivers. This vehicle design and rental practice presents a major public safety risk. My wife took are jeep in for first inspection and the service technician found cracks between the tread on all 4 tires,the tires have 5600 miles,the service technician recommended new tires,I questioned why I should buy new tires when the nexen roadian HTX2 tires have a 70000 mile warranty,C Harper Jeep in connellsville Pa said nothing could be done even though they sent me a video of the cracks,to me it a safety hazard Roadian HTX2 my wife took the vehicle back and they took more pictures and said they sent them to you,what can be done about this 245/75/17. We were flat towing our Jeep Wrangler behind our RV using a new Blue Ox Avail tow bar and the right-side tow arm failed. Once the tow bar failed it was difficult to keep the Jeep within the lane behind the RV until we could find a safe place to exit the interstate and unhook. Blue Ox sent us a replacement Avail tow bar since it was under warranty, and the exact same thing happened on the first trip with the brand new replacement. The right-side tow arm failed traveling down the interstate. Two failures with two brand new units….Blue Ox Avail tow bar.
