The electric wind shield broke at the mechanism while doing highways speeds allowing it to fold back and forward and hit my helmet almost causing a crash and . All parts on the windshield are stock. It also would not retract to fix my visibility. Part #55036-0003 for the assembly that broke.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 KAWASAKI CONCOURS 14. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 12V134000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NOT A PART BEING PRODUCED FOR THE RECALL REMEDY REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN OPERATION DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES.
