2010 Keystone Hornet Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2010 Keystone Hornet, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

MY WIFE AND I TOOK DELIVERY OF A 2010 KEYSTONE LAREDO FIFTH WHEEL ON 4/23/09. WE HAD THE DEMONSTRATION OF THE UNIT AND HAD THE GUY LIGHT THE OVEN FOR US.(WE NEVER GOT OUR OVEN OF OUR 07 TT LIT). I BROUGHT THE FIFTH WHEEL HOME AND LOADED ALL OF MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS FROM MY TT IN IT. THE NEXT MORNING 4/24/09 I TOOK THE FIFTH WHEEL TO MY STORAGE PLACE AND LEFT IT THERE. ON 5/9/09 I GOT A CALL FROM MY STORAGE PLACE TELLING ME THAT MY FIFTH WHEEL CAUGHT FIRE THE NIGHT BEFORE DESTROYING IT AND THE MOTORHOME AND TRAVEL TRAILER NEXT TO IT. I WENT TO THE DOMETIC REFRIGERATOR RECALL WEB SITE AND LEARNED THAT MY REFRIGERATOR WAS PART OF THE RECALL. HOW CAN DOMETIC STILL BE MAKING OR SHIPPING DEFECTED REFRIGERATOR THAT THEY RECALLED IN AUGUST OF 2006? HOW CAN KEYSTONE BE INSTALLING THESE PRODUCTS WITHOUT FIXING THEM? I'M CONFUSED HOW THIS CAN BE HAPPENING. I LOST SOME IRREPLACEABLE ITEMS IN THIS FIRE. THIS MODEL IS A LAREDO, I CLICKED "HORNET" ON THE NEXT PAGE BECAUSE IT WAS THE ONLY CHOICE. *TR

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
