BLOWN TIRE ON A 2004 KEYSTONE MONTANA MODEL 3295RK 5TH WHEEL TRAILER. TIRE HAD A COMPLETE LOSS OF TREAD BELT WITH SOME TRAILER DAMAGE AT TIRE MILEAGE OF 23,100. TIRE WAS PRESENTED TO A BF GOODRICH DEALER WITH NO ATTEMPT BY THE DEALER FOR WARRANTY. LATER I RECEIVED A RECALL ON THE NEW REPLACEMENT TIRE FOR TREAD LOSS BUT NOT ON THE ORIGINAL TIRE THAT FAILED OR REMAINING 3 ORIGINAL TIRES. ALL OF THE 4 ORIGINAL TIRES WERE MANUFACTURED PRIOR TO THE DATES INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. FAILED TIRE WAS A BF GOODRICH LT235/85 R16 120 Q LRE COMMERCIAL T/A AS RADIAL WITH DOT NUMBER ANOR JD11 4107 OR 1008. AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS TO BF GOODRICH THEY FINALLY AGREED TO PAY FOR 70% OF THE COST OF THE TIRES ON THE REMAINING 3 ORIGINAL TIRES. THE NEW TIRE WAS REPLACED UNDER THE RECALL. *TR

FAILURE OF TWO OUT OF FOUR ALUMINUM WHEEL RIMS ON THE UNIT BY CRACKING IN THE INTERNAL CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE RIM. CRACKS WERE THROUGH THE RIM AND ALLOWED AIR TO ESCAPE FROM THE TIRE. THE VISIBLE PORTIONS OF THE CRACKS WERE APPROXIMATELY 1/2" ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE RIM AND APPROXIMATELY 4" INTERNALLY. CONCERNS ARE THAT LOSS OF AIR COULD LEAD TO TIRE FAILURE OR FURTHER PROPAGATION OF THE CRACK COULD LEAD TO RIM FAILURE. *TR

Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
